Yeah these coils were like 3 inches of lift in the rear. Great under load. I’ll be swapping them out soon once I’m done hauling shit constantly.

Yes lol. A Bunch of gravel. I do not recommend these coils if you don’t intend to load down the rear constantly.

Honestly I think it rides fine. Probably a little stiffer than most would like. I only installed these installed so I could haul stuff working on my house and not have a truck nose up constantly.

Painted. I've always painted mine. Those covers look nice, but they're also pricey.

Has anyone done the westcott kit on the Hitachi shocks that come on the platinum? I'm wondering how the ride is? I am hoping it is smoother than the TRD shocks being that those have a stiffer spring.

Yes. I installed the spacers. I now have close to 16K miles on the truck and no problems with the spacers.

Anyone have the Dobinson 3" front / 2" rear setup with the IMS shocks? Looking for feedback and pictures. I know the MRR shocks aren't out yet, but if by any chance you had the opportunity to get a set, feed back would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Nice. Which springs and height are you running. Do you have any side shots of your truck?

Since my original King suspension install, I wanted to give an update.

The original UCA was articulating fine, aligning fine and was clearing the resi hose for the King. However, it was rubbing and scruffing the hose at full droop.

I ended up swapping the UCAs to the TRD UCAs. Problem solved. These cost me $350 for the pair. I couldn’t justify a reason to go for aftermarket expensive options. These work great.

After driving a bit and alignment it seems these UCAs actually correct the geometry by adding caster, which also gave me about more lift.

Caster was 2 with original UCA, with TRD it is now 4, which is the spec.

Also gained 0.3” of more height, now 2.25” of total lift with the Kings (with 1 3/4 turns more preload).

So you got an increase on 1/2” just by swapping the arms? With no adjustment on the kings?

Putting my trd arms on soon!

I’m not sure if it is a true height gain. I worked on the suspension, lifted it, etc. It may need to settle the next few days. I will report back.

Zero reason you would get ride height increase just from installing UCAs.

Hi @ryanwgregg i see the TRd lift includes “Extended Brake Flex Hoses” do you have any specs on those? Is it safe to assume they are for the rear? I they available for sale without having to but the whole lift kit?

    Thanks in advance

An update since I installed the TRD UCAs, drove several days and did alignment again.

There was actually geometry change and height gain.

Caster went from 2 to 4, which is the actual spec. Also gained 0.3” of height.

The height gain is definitely there. With King coilovers and 1 3/4 turns of extra preload, I got only 1.95” ride height increase with OE UCAs. That seemed not to match what King was telling me. Now with TRD UCAs, the overall heigh gain is 2.25” over stock, which is in line.

The only thing I can think of is the caster geometry change.

Thank you @ryanwgregg always responding

@T-MAC @Yaboy what length brake lines did you guys go with, 0-3” or 4-6”? Also how much lift are you guys running on the rear?

I am running 2” dobinsons lift on the rear and I’m doubtful if the 0-3” brake lines will be long enough.

Also, I got the front extended brake lines (also 0-3”) but they’re only 1” longer than the factory brake lines. Not much gain for the money IMO.
