I would like to know when these dual chargers are ready to hit the market. I am certainly in the market for something like this. The OEM unit sucks, will not charge with the Otterbox rubber of plastic cover

I post updates on here regularly. I also post updates on instagram. The dual Charger is still in testing and development phase with no timeline on its release yet. There are still some challenges to overcome first.

Does it plug into the factory plug and any update on the double, that's what I really want

Please count me in for a dual charger that connects to the factory cable or another power source other than the usb-c port in the console when it becomes available!

I don't think any of these connect to the factory connection, you have to run to the USB port

Please add me to your list as well.

Gotta say, EXTREMELY psyched that somebody has already got a product just about ready to launch to fix this beyond silly issue by Toyota. Drives me absolutely crazy with the constant charging on / off, over & over & over.

Definitely let me know when the product is ready to launch & thank you!

    That's AWESOME!

As for the dual version that's in the works, I've seen members asking if it'll work with the factory connector, but don't believe I saw an answer (but didn't go through 13x pages of posts either)?

Also, I believe the stock Qi pad operates @ 2W (RIDICULOUSLY WEAK!), do you have the details on wattage for the current single solution & projected wattage for the dual solution?

+1, the dual charger, factory plug sounds like a winner.

Installed my Qi charger, but the light stays red regardless of there being a phone on it or not. Red when truck is on, red when a phone is 100% and on the charger, and red when a phone is charging on to (it does charge); just unsure if there's anything I should double-check?

Works better than the OEM one for sure, it doesn't charge as fast or as much as I'd like but the phone is still very picky and once in a while won't be charging.

On a 1hr drive, it charges my Pixel 7 Pro about 2-3% only... So don't count on this to charge your phone, it's good to keep it topped up though if your phone is already charged up.

Is it my phone the issue or the charger, not sure, but I have a feeling the USB connection under the armrest isn't pumping out enough Amps to the charger and in return wirelessly to my phone... Again, this is speculations on my part.

With regards to the Google Pixel 7:

As per Google's product specification sheet, the Pixel 7 supports charging up to 20W but only with Google's proprietary chargers. If you are not using a Google charger (which the EEF chargers are not), the max charging power you will get is

12W which lead to slower speeds.

Additional factors may be at play to include case thickness, background applications/GPS tracking, and base operating power requirements which may further reduce speeds.

I installed my replacement single version and it work very well on my iPhone 11. No more charge disconnecting while driving. I ran a separate USB dual port from the passenger fuse box and hid all the wiring under the passenger side. Still looks OEM and I didn’t use any of my factory USB ports. I didn’t want to see any wires or tie up a USB. Thanks to EEF for making a product that works.

I’m waiting as well on the dual option. I have the single version but don’t want to tear things apart twice…would rather just install once. Hopefully it’s coming soon!

Im kinda second guessing the entire tear apart the dash deal

    I may just sell mine.

I dont see there was ever a final install video done, just the prototype, and your truck may or may not be different type deal in the first post that says its just a demo and not full instructions.

I used the video link from the prototype here and it was spot on. This video is from a TRD Pro and I have a Limited, but worked just fine. I did wire mine to a fuse tap under the glove box so I didn’t affect the usability of the console USB. Here’s the link:

Apologies guys. I had to have a facial surgery early last month which pretty much sidelined me and affected my speaking ability let alone my on-screen appeal. Lol

The dual Charger will not be mounted in the same fashion as the singles. The goal for the singles was to design them to fit into existing OEM pieces so that the factory appearance was maintained.

This goal was carried over when we started developing the Dual Charger. However, because the existing panel pieces won’t allow for placement of a dual setup without EXTENSIVE modification to your OEM part, the decision was made to develop an “overlay” style panel that lays on top of your existing piece. There will be no requirement for disassembly except to disconnect the OEM charger or installed EEF unit.

Because the EEF dual Charger will be openly displayed, there has been countless fit tests and adjustments to make it look like it as OEM as possible. This is in addition to testing and bridging two chargers together, torture testing, etc.

Your patience has been noted at EEF and is tremendously appreciated. The dual Charger R&D has also yielded some other possibilities that you make find of use in the future as well. Can’t give too much away but I’m sure some people may rip out their hair plugs in disbelief. LoL

    :cool::rofl:

Thanks! Hope you are feeling better. So if I want the dual charger, will that make the single charger I have basically throw away? Or will the dual charger work in hand or in sync with the single?

the single is still a good charger. But it must be disconnected to prevent interference with the dual Charger coils. Good news though: for those who have bought a single, EEF will offer discounts for the dual when it’s released.
