    Power Steering Pump leak?

    Fluid is Reddish/Pinkish.

Only thing sitting above Alternator is Power steering pump.

That looks like coolant to me. Not quite the viscosity of power steering fluid.

Water pump is my first guess

Is that coolant? Water pump seal fail.

There is no visible leak coming from radiator parts? I just had water pump replaced at the same time with timing belt. About 22,000-30,000 miles ago.

    Thinking poor replacement?

Radiator Coolant and Power steering fluid literally looks the same in mines. Reddish/Pinkish but did not see any leak from radiator? Also is the water pump seal located near alternator?

Replace seal or replace whole water pump?

The water pump is tucked in on the engine block, not the radiator. It could also be leaking at the thermostat.

Look in this area closely and on the engine block.

What kit did you use on your timing belt/ water pump replacement and where did you buy it?

Checked thermostat housing and tubes as well. No tears or leaks AT ALL top or bottom. Used a continental or AISIN kit from RockAuto but I believe the place I got it done did a poor job.

There's a few surfaces on the water pump and thermostat housing that need to have the old gasket material removed so everything seals together nicely. Then you need to use RTV on the square port for the thermostat housing. I used a razor on my engine block where the water pump seals to clean the surface up.

Which water pump kit would you recommend from Rockauto?

Aisin from Rock Auto. That's the OEM equivalent. I would try to investigate a little further before pulling the trigger for sure. When the fluid dries, it should leave behind a white-ish pink color on your frame if it's coolant.

Been leaking for about a week now after every drive but leaks more when driving more than 30min and in reverse like on the video,
no white-ish pink color on frame

How's the engine temperature gauge when you're driving? Next step is to check how much coolant is in the radiator and the coolant overflow tank. Take the radiator cap off when the engine is NOT HOT.

Engine literally has not over heated or shown any sign of no coolant. Temper gauge stays in the middle as usual. Put in 3/4 of of coolant in radiator 2 days ago but still before that, engine was not overheating. Topped off radiator when I added coolant then today I see the coolant was not topped off. Had to add in rest of 1st bottle (1/4). Have another bottle but wanted to figure this out before I put in.

Just went for a 60-70mph drive and you’re right. Water pump, big big leak of radiator fluid once I turned engine off and looked inside. Good thing I got that warranty.

    Best of luck!

Just dug through some photos I took when I replaced mine -- you can see some of the stuff I had to clean off. The dried coolant is from the weep hole on my original water pump and wasn't an active leak.

To trace the leak, hose everything off, take the fan off, and run it up to temp. My parents have had bad luck with radiators (sequoia & q45) popping leaks. My water circuit for the oil cooler leaked during a hard freeze, but has been fine ever since. And dads ford ranger started leaking at the rad hose, and tightening the hose clamp has fixed that so far.
