Just for reference, I had posted how mine was wired in the past. The gauge itself doesn’t use much current, but the O2 sensor has a little heater that draws a little more power. It’s more for the safety of if a short occurred for me. https://www.tundras.com/threads/general-supercharger-thread.85513/page-180#post-3068417

I did not wire in the relay and it still works. I think I read somewhere a heated O2 sensor only needs like 3-5 amps.

I did call Innovate this afternoon to talk to their tech support. He pulled up the specs and looked at the manual and said for my case, just powering up the gauge for AFR/Boost readings the relay wouldn't be required. If connecting to a boost controller solenoid for the Power Safe functions then he said it would be needed. So I think I'm just going to leave it as-is and let Westcott install it how they see fit.

Are you all dialed in now and just waiting for the dyno/tuning again?

I'm hoping. It's been 2 full days excitement free.

Assuming it stays this way, Friday at 3 is dynothyme!

Got the truck on the schedule for estimate and repairs, finally. But it's getting traded in as soon as it's fixed.

Looking at getting into a Lexus. Really just need room for me and a dog or two. Wondering if there's anything suitable for boosting in wagon/hatchback/small suv category? I know all of the new models have the small engine and turbo, but anything in the V6 range that can get s/c or turbo'd?

Still looking for RCSB 4x4 5.7l project also. Want to do an AWD conversion on it for a little rally/street style truck

Lots of pages here fellas, so sorry if this has been answered, which 99.9% sure it has been. California fellas, what Tune does the Magnuson come with? My Tacoma came with the Bullydog, which I quickly switched over to an HPTuner from a tune from a TW member. Pretty sure I read HPtuners have something for Tundras now, may have read Magnuson uses them now but I am not 100% sure.

These were my upgrades on my Tacoma: quickhub change for the pulley with a 2.8 (haven't read much about Tundra pulley size yet), CSF radiator, Deatschwerks Fuel pump, and then a catch can. I'm not sure I want to mess with a smaller pulley right out the gates, cutting back the snout was annoying on the Tacoma. But would all the others:radiator, fuel pump, catch can, be suitable enough and I could call it a day? Obviously get a good tune as well.

Thanks for the help and sorry for not reading :eek2:

So my new top option, I think, is a Lexus LX570. The overall dimensions of the 2008-2015 are considerably smaller than the crewmax, over 2.5ft shorter in length! I should also be able to swap over the current supercharger, and 22" TRD Forged wheels. Idk about the sway bars, and definitely not the lowering kit.

Welcome! I'm scootter82 over on Tacomaworld, active in their s/c thread. I think you pretty much got it all right. A lot of the general knowledge from the Taco s/c transfers over here. Just a lot of differences in the engine itself, obviously lol

Yes HPT supports Tundras, that or one of the other software is definitely the way to go and while the stock Magnuson tune works there is a lot of improvements that can be made with a custom tune.

The Tundra does NOT require any modification of the supercharger to install a smaller pulley. Though you most likely will need to pull the snout so you can remove/install a different pulley (I'm sure the taco is the same), but the snout itself requires no changes for any of the pulley options on the market, you just get a smaller serpentine belt.

The radiator is overkill imo, most of the supercharger kits come with a fuel pump and if you want you can upgrade that. The Magnuson and I think the "stage 2" Harrop come with fuel pumps. Catch can is great, not needed. A lot of us have the radium single catch can. If you get the Magnuson it comes with larger injectors, the other kits do not but imo the other kits do need them even in stock form so keep that in mind. Injectors will require a different tune but otherwise are plug and play, the Magnuson tune is calibrated for the injectors they include which are 535cc, stock is around 400cc.

You more than covered what you need. The Magnuson kit is the most comprehensive, though the other kits may be more efficient, powerful, or cheaper---those are the Harrop and the Whipple. Another modification people do but is not required is a larger intake (the Magnuson comes with it and is the common upgrade for the other superchargers).

Appreciate the info. Good to know about the Fuel Pump (saw it listed in the parts list for Magnuson) and Radiator. I'll probably be going Magnuson as I know a dealer who can get me some % off.

I’d say Whipple has the best value bang for the buck in what you get for the price, especially for fuel upgrades. Only the intake is lacking, which you can buy the Maggie one for $300ish. Magnuson kit as it comes is suitable for the provided pulley as far as fuel upgrades. The provided pump and injectors are insufficient for a smaller pulley though, so then you’re buying them anyway later. See this earlier post for a little more info as far as ideal upgrades for each kit. https://www.tundras.com/threads/general-supercharger-thread.85513/page-201#post-3102708

If anyone’s in need of a 340lph pump and 650cc’s those will be available since I’ll be getting 750s.

Hey man, I'm thinking about downgrading the 750's for 650's if I get LX570. Won't be going as balls to the walls on that one.

@Fastlane47’s issues got me thinking more about this pressure/flow situation your previously described. Sniv are you still running the stock FPR non-boost referenced? If so, you’re flowing less fuel per duty cycle percentage with your larger pump and 715cc injectors than I am with my 650s and 340LPH pump using a boost referenced FPR. Since the boost pressure effectively lowers your fuel pressure the same amount of PSI of boost you’re pushing. If you boost referenced yours, your duty cycle would probably drop majorly (like down to 80% at your lower elevation). With this in mind, at 95% duty cycle at a true 33psi on 715cc injectors you’re only looking at 626cc x 8 x 95% duty cycle comes out to 285lph at max even at your lower elevation.

In my scenario I’m using 650s (at a true 650cc due to being boost referenced) at 85% duty which is actually flowing 265lph at max. Just food for thought, and shows how the pressure you run at is a huge factor to consider, and I believe this further supports that oversized fuel system components aren’t quite as necessary if your are running a higher pressure and using boost reference. Gotta get to bed, so won’t see replies until tomorrow but let me know your thoughts!

Completely agree! That's not something I had considered before, my injectors effectively get smaller as boost increases, the exact opposite of what you'd want.

Anyone know of any offroad/non cat headers that aren't back ordered/made to order? Thinking of going either Kooks or SW. Camping season is happening soon and I'm trying to avoid waiting a month or two for headers!
