Extremeaire Compressor system

This is the compressor install I did on my FJ, a few years ago


I did a similar install in a fellow FJ Cruisers truck yesterday. I do plan on making the same type of mount for the Tundra

I wasn't sure where to post this, but I wanted to give you guys an idea of how this will turn out. I may increase the air tank size from 2 gallon to 4 gallon, depending on available space . I know there was a thread here where someone was complaining about this compressor not being that good, but that is for sure not the case.
(4) 35X17 tires filled from 14 psi to 40 in just about 6 minutes. It's not as fast as a Powertank, but It's fast and you can run air tools . 100% Duty cycle





2 air chucks on opposite corners




Main wires are 4 gauge
100 amp circuit breaker


I should have something mocked up right after I get back from my Colorado trip

 

Interested in this mod for sure. Not for filling tires but for filling kites for kiteboarding. (Unfortunately not me in the pic).

 

Nice, I'd like to have compressed air on my truck, but the concern I have is having it all under the truck where it could be damaged. Wonder if there is some armor you could put below it.

 

I went c02 and be done. Plus cheap to recharge.

I suppose it can be used any way you wish . Bouncy house may be a little much but the Kiteboard would work

Under my FJ for 2 years without any problems. If you get hung up that high into the rear section, you may have other problems than the tank. Everything is above the frame rails . I was planning on building a skid for it though

I went down that road. I was looking for a solution that didn't involve a tank, you have to find a place to store and being married to going to fill up the co2 . Different strokes for different folks

It would work well for air bags. Especially if you could control them from the drivers seat. It would just take a few control valves
