Finally getting around to posting this up.

    Install was super simple.

    Parts

    Truck: 2014-2017 Tundra Crewmax

    Cover: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JETYO7M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Instruction Sheet Specific to Cover: https://assets.bestop.com/files/_bestop/9/10/1/14060_b.pdf

Crossbars (our own, of course): http://www.kbvoodoo.com/shop/toyota-tundra-hi-rise-crossbars-for-use-with-tonneau-covers

NOTE: Your truck must have the Deck Rail option for this mod!!

    Step 1

Install aluminum blocks for cover, and T-Slot nuts for crossbar uprights (this is easier if you bust out your T30 torx and take the accessory rail right off). Place all the parts in the rail in the proper sequence.

    Step 2

Bolt the uprights for the crossbars in place (TIP: leave them a little loose so you can slide them into position after the cover is on)

    Step 3

Simply lay the cover on the bed towards the cab, and from underneath, attach the built in clamp to the aluminum block and tighten (make sure it's square to the bed first).

    Step 4

Slide the crossbar uprights to the position that you want, and tighten the bolts.

    Step 5

Folder the cover down until it covers the bed.

    Step 6

Place the crossbars on the uprights and install the knobs (or optional tamper proof bolts).

    That's it, you're done!!

It's a great system, although I might be slightly biased.

this is awesome. i've been looking for something like this for a roof top tent that I can also use with my tonneau. The website says it supports roof top tents, but there is no load rating indicated. Do you know what it is?

We don't like to state exact load ratings, because it's so dependent upon how the item is used.

These bars will hold almost any tent within reason. Obviously, if there are 3 or 4 HUGE people in it, there might be problems.

Out of curiosity, why won't the bars work with bakflip covers?

In their infinite wisdom, Bakflip came up with this kooky bracket that relocates the factory deck rail. Our uprights attach to said deck rail.

Ahhh...gotcha. I don't have a bakflip...but was curious. Speaking of the crossbars, though...any plans for "Black Friday" deals on them? ;)

Even if you fabricated a longer bracket to make up the lower rail, I don't think your design would work - would it? Due to the low profile and seal of the actual cover. I am no engineer Hope I am wrong.

We don't do sales. Sales mean that you've been gouging your customers all year, and now things are slow, so it's finally time to charge a fair price.

That said, if you want a set, PM me and I'll get you a promo code.

They move them down, and they move them in. Plus they have a metal frame that you would have to cut away.

I'd consider taking the cover off to Use the racks. Not hard to do. But I take it there is no way to adjust to account for the bed rail rack being brought in?

    Not that I'm aware of....

But...we are coming out with a universal tonneau cover crossbar that might work in that situation.

Tell me the process of removing a bed basket. I'm about to order one and don't really think I need sliders but can't make up my mind

It just slides under that strip there? No issues with water getting in after the installation?

    20220526_150739.jpg

Sorry, there just isn't much online about this, and if there is, its obscure, so I'm sorry if I've missed any answers here. I really only need the cargo bars to carry rooftop cargo box, and that's only for hurricane evacuation, and I really like that tonneau... so I need to be sure.

Yep, our uprights fit under the rail of the cover. You may see a little water intrusion, but weatherstripping can be added to prevent that.

I have the Undercover Ultraflex tri fold. Will these bars work with this cover. If so this could solve a problem I'm having!

I believe on a Tundra that cover is compatible.

It gets tricky with a Tacoma.
