meh, didnt want it in the first place but had no choice. could have waited for build without it but was already at 6 months waiting and the wife was tired of waiting. have a cover on the bed anyway so dont see it anyway except when we might haul grass clippings or god forbid honey do list stuff.

never had a spray in liner in our 3 tacoma's or a bed mat. wont care on this tundra even if it peels, since the bed is plastic anyway.

    but thats jus us.

Last month I was chatting with the guy at the place I got my Retrax from and he said the plastic bed isn't supposed to be lined because the stuff doesn't stick. Also by nature the bed is kind of flexible and the spray in liner is not. He was saying that the dealer down the road was lining the plastic beds on their new vehicles and they had a very high rate of the liners peeling off. But apparently the dealer was responsible for adding the liner and they were being removed under warranty. I don't know that they were lined at the factory...

im probably one of the few people that will have an oem bed liner still intact when i trade it in when the lighter shade of blue tundra comes out. its under a bed cover and we only use the bed for maybe grass clippings in 3mil garbage bags to take to the compost site :)

I bought my 1794 in October of 2022 and it came with the spray in liner. I have not had an issue to this point and I have hauled a few fairly abrasive things. I think I am in the minority that actually appreciated the fact that it came with a spray in liner.

I appreciate that the spray in (or Line-X) are not slick, especially when wet. As a Seattle guy, that's really important to me.

I have the Tundra bed matt. Totally fine other than it stinks under the tonneau. Plan to let it air out once we get some heat in the sun up north here

I have the spray in liner and it says Tundra and the top of the bed. I wonder if Toyota is using a third party to do these and if they switched to another company as a result of the 22s?

Oem tonneau, side steps, spray in liner. Trd skidplate.
My 22 has the tundra logo. I use my truck as a work truck, ladders, tools, supplies in the bed daily. No issues. Thinking it was a prep issue on some trucks, or abuse, some people can break concrete...

exactly, iirc they said some of the beds didn't have Tundra sprayed on them so I am wondering if there are issues with those types of spray in bed liners? but like you said could be a prep issue as well.

Mine also has the "Tundra" logo and as I said before I have not had any issues so far.

Mine does too which is why I asked, but I think maybe they changed to another process or prep in later production.

Any reason the corners next to the tailgate are not sprayed? I've seen a few, so I don't think it's just my TRD Pro

Just noticed today that mine is peeling on the fender wells and one spot under the bed mat. Where it's peeling it is paper thin. I've had spray in liners before but none were this thin.

Foothills Toyota in Burlington WA where I bought my truck had a third party line-x dealer remove the Toyota spray in and reapply line-x. All covered by Toyota. I was having corner peeling as well as chunks coming off from sliding things in and out. The service manager sent a couple photos to Toyota and had repair approved within a day.

sadly the hardest thing going in the oem bed lined bed is going to be a plastic trash bags with grass clippings. probably never be able to get it replaced with a line x spray.
