I just ordered that same kit today from Amazon. Mine should arrive tomorrow. I wasn't sure if I'd need it, but if so I wanted to have it available for my install on next Monday.

Walbro response to my response elicits a what the fuck from me (internally)

I am not understanding what you are asking. The previous email I sent had suggestions on what to look into. Not knowing or assuming the voltage is not ruling that out as an issue, it would need to be checked to make sure the voltage is actually there and it has a strong connection. I also asked what fuel type you are using and if you have a feature such as PWM, which is a feature most pumps are not compatible with but is overlooked and can damage the fuel pump. There is also testing the regulator to make sure that is doing what it should. That would be all of the steps I have for you other than pulling the pump and proceeding with the warranty process. We have limited technical support as we are independent retailers and not the manufacturer.

They aren't Walbro? His signature is as follows:

Do you have it? What does it connect to? I had my original tune done by them after purchasing and installing their fuel system...at the time, they told me it wasn't needed for 2018+

Are there any write ups on the install? My tank is coming down, I can't find anything.

No, you will have to drop to get access to the fuel basket wiring. You will also need a way to get the wiring into the basket to the pump. I would recommend bulkhead terminals, small hole to drill.

Are there knock off issues with this pump? Do I need to rewire for it?

I believe it gets plugged in before the fuel pump. My shop did it at the time of doing some other stuff. Totally fixed the issue for me.

Small hole in the top of the basket & splice into the harness?

Based on my pump part number this is the harness. Other than the bulkhead kit do I need anything else?

Just a 15/64" drill bit for the holes. I would suggest drilling from the underside so you can be centered between the ribs and leave enough room for the washers/nuts/terminals to thread onto the studs.

The insulation sleeve will be too thick to seal against the top hat of the fuel basket, so it will need to be cut. I lined mine up with the side of the top hat and cut flush with a razor blade.

Glad I caught this post. I just duplicated this order and expedited shipping for my install on Monday. I don't think Westcott would have any of this on hand and need to make sure I show up with everything needed to complete the job. Thanks for posting.

Where do I get that sock thing for the Radium Venturi? I saw that post after the tank was back in, may as well get it.

Unpopular opinion, this 450 pump upgrade is for the birds for most of us on this thread.

No blaming, I asked Mr. snivilous what to buy. It's part of modding, if I didn't want issues I should have left it alone!

Hard to say, Viktor was the one who said he saw evidence that the 450 was needed. Obviously he's not in the game anymore to defend that and none of the rest of us have access to a dyno and multiple vehicles to test to prove him right or wrong.

750cc/min * 8 = 360L/hr, so napkin math backs it up as being needed though if you want to push the supercharger past stock.

True, but 750cc injectors at a more realistic 70% max duty cycle is 4,200cc = 252lph

Those 750cc injectors aren’t really even 750s either.

I think the 450 is certainly oversized, but I'd rather be oversized like with the injectors. I'm at 80% duty cycle with my 715s at 8psi, that's 275lph. I go down the hill and I'm at 95% duty cycle = 325 lph. Right now I don't have any worry of the pump limiting me, and I would've been fine with my old 340 pump (which is already larger than most supercharger pumps I think) though it'd be knocking on the limit at the same time as the injectors.

True, when you’re down at lower elevation with a 2.0 pulley you’re also arguably making power that should really require a built engine for regular basis driving. Most of us aren’t going that crazy. A 340 is plenty for the 2.2-2.3/ and 75/80mm pulley range, and I’m just saying there is none of this extra bullshit to deal with. Just drop it in like an OEM pump and go. No dropping the tank every weekend to fix leaks and troubleshoot. The deatschwerks 300c is the perfect offering for most of us IMO.

If the smaller pumps don't require modifications, then I'll agree with you. I don't pay much attention to the FFV stuff. My truck seems to be a weird unicorn where it takes modifications without issue and is fine. I'm just going off my anecdotal evidence that the 450 was a direct drop in just like any other pump I've tried.

Anyone I talk to I try to be transparent that I don't know FFV vehicles and every year tundra seems different in regards to both hardware and software, and to do due diligence researching what to get.
