Possibly a dumb question or too lazy to research. What do I need to replace/service for my 2001 Tundra 3.4 tune-up?
    Thanks,
    Dave

Not much to tune up anymore on cars and trucks. Spark plugs are changed at appropriate intervals, should be platinum or iridium plugs in your truck, good for 100k miles or so. Air filter every 20-25k miles or so. External fuel filter on the early trucks like yours. Clean the MAF with MAF cleaner and the throttle body plate and opening. Fuel system cleaners are hit and miss. Can’t hurt, may not help much. I use Techron occasionally as it’s the only one designed and proven to remove carbon buildup. The things that get neglected are non-engine related like brake fluid flushes, power steering fluid flushed, clutch fluid flushes if your manual. The fluids absorb water and get contaminated over time decreasing their effectiveness and slowly ruining the components they are meant to operate and lubricate. Radiator flush and coolant change as well. Happy wrenching!

300 hectares on single tank of kerosene
Lower ball joints. Water pump and a timing belt.

    That's about it.

The 2001 Warranty and Maintenance Guide is free here: https://www.toyota.com/owners/resources/warranty-owners-manuals.tundra.2001

The 2001 Tundras did not come with iridium or long life spark plugs. They were standard copper core plugs changed every 30,000 miles. Timing belt is every 90,000 miles. If your truck is 4x4, the driveshaft joints need to be greased frequently.

How many miles on your truck and are there any issues?

Only dumb thing I see about this is the lack of mileage included so we know what you need to replace/service

But generally speaking, check this thread: https://www.tundras.com/threads/so-you-wanna-buy-just-bought-a-1st-gen-tundra-eh.115928/

There are a bunch of links near the top to service manuals, service schedule, and all kinds of other stuff you'll need to reference.

The 3.4 used those double electrode plugs. And i forget which side is a bitch, but you need one of those swivel extensions.
