So I got the hose, installed it and am totally flumoxed, it goes from 58 to 40 @ throttle (I am afraid to go wot as the afrs are up to 16). Why would that happen?

Thanks, seems the boosters are for 'Murican cars. I searched for Tundras and all I found was Prospeed but nothing there about this.

Your pressure goes from 58 to 40 and you have it boost referenced? I’m afraid to post anything technical in fear of this new language making me sound like a stupid ass lol. But anyway, no way your 450lph pump would be insufficient if it’s working right. I’m running AFRs in the 10s with 650s and a 340lph pump with similar airflow. I would assume you either have a faulty pump or a pump related issue.

What wideband are you running? And did it need a calibration?

 

I have the Innovate PSB-1 & I callibrated it the way the manual said, out in the open, disconnected, err on the display, plug it in, get a reading, turn it off, install in the pipe.

 

If we keep quoting others posts, we can understand what is being said in modern words.

Ok sounds like you did the calibration correctly.

 

Lines up with what you're experiencing, and same thing reported by ProSpeed last time I was on their dyno, but before I upgraded my pumps wiring.

They would probably charge you to install it, not offer up advise or support on someone else's product.

It should be fairly straight forward according to the diagram below:


For dedicated wiring, use 10gauge for both power and ground. Connect power to BAP, connect ground to tested-good ground or back to battery negative.

Install Two terminals in the fuel basket top hat for pump power and ground: http://www.radiumauto.com/Electrical-Bulkhead-Stud-Kit-6-Pack-P1049.aspx

Question for those with aftermarket fuel pressure regulators...after you shut off the engine, does your pressure immediately drop to 0, or stay pressurized?

 

On the one I have currently yes. I'll report tomorrow after I get the Aeromotive in.

@e30cabrio, you might want to hold off ordering the BAP, it lists the Walbro450 as not recommended for the BAP, due to stock wiring size from what I can tell. The tech document below implies that the pump is more than capable of supplying up to 800HP if wiring is sufficient. You can likely just upgrade the wiring along with the new FPR and be good to go, that's what I did...but I haven't monitored the pressure/RPM to verify that resolved the issue, I just assumed that along with staged 2nd fuel pump took care of my delivery issue.
