Oh hey, I like that. I hadn't even looked at AGP as a potential. Where are you seeing those?

    Saw them on offerup locally.

1mm is basically zero or on a 9" wheel 4.5" backspacing iirc. -12 would be more like 4" backspacing.

Yeah, I reached out to SCS. Long story there. Short version is, I expressed my disappointment that they're innovative with their wheels and I found it really disingenuous that the only two wheels I found and loved at their website, have never been manufactured in the colors they show on the website.

I think I can live without their wheel offerings. I do like what @assassin10000 posted though. SCS is too heavy handed on over-saturated dark wheels. Their idea of 'copper' is more like brownish-taupe, or antiqued orange or something. And they were pretty clear, the only non-dark and non-silver wheels they have are their idea of gold, which is more like neon orange, like a good, farm-raised chicken yolk.

I was looking for something more in the vein of brass, washed-out gold, palladium, white gold, hell maybe even matte rose gold.

This is why I always shy away from wheel fitment topics. Shit is calculus to me until I see it written.

So basically +1 puts the face of the wheel 1mm in towards the truck (1mm of tuck, virtually nothing), -12 puts the face of the wheel 12mm farther out, similar to what a spacer would do? I can't even remember what my OEM 5-way splits are, I want to say +10 or +12 but ... I'd hafta look it up well, looked it up and my OEM 5-spoke splits are 17x7.5 and +15 @ ~4.5" backspace

I did chuck together a couple of really crappy photoshops of my truck with various wheels just to help visualize stuff. I really don't like the look of gunmetal and darker. And this and this are SCS' idea of what "gold" is, which is a total joke to me.

I think Method did a way better job with their gold (see 2nd photoshop here), but it's still a bit too saturated of a gold color for me - I love the overall look, just wish it was a tad lighter. It's disappointing to me there aren't more-washed-out colors available on the market, and many of the offroad wheel manufacturers are all sitting in this lame incestuous box of dark colored wheels.

The 1st photoshop style is a little too classic/old skool 80s. 2nd is I think pretty fresh, and ballpark where I wanted to be. 3rd is too suburban-high-schooler-trendy kid and what you see saturating every truck these days. And the last one .... just looks wrong.

Did another gubernatorial yob. My pry-bars I bought today that I mentioned...

I pencil ground my initials into all my new pry-bars, and also the length of them in the end of the handles. Also added some paint in the new grooves for extra pop, and identification.

The little 8" I'm going to keep inside the box. The rest of them can stay in my squared tube frame like so....

@shifty` agreed those gold wheels tend to be too yellow. I like a nice bronze wheel. Or you really can't go wrong with black.
I really want a nice 6 spoke like Level 8's or if I could afford em, Keonig 6 Shooters

I think BBS nailed it with their color of gold. Something about white vehicles with gold wheels just works. But not when it's the orangey-tinged stuff SCS and others are offering up on the market.

Any idea what i could generate with a rectifier? if its 60hz and 3 phase is that 1200rpm 3600rpm or 10800rpm? I have an exercise bike...

anyone know how to trace that part number to some specs?

So our microwave light burned out the other day. Today I found an LED replacement at Home Depot and installed it. Now it won't turn off. High and low still work. It gets dimmer but won't turn off.
I'm guessing something to do with the fact that it's LED? :monocle:

Potentially that circuit is expecting some load on the line it won't get from an LED. Similar to how our trucks behave when throwing in LEDs vs. Halogens.

I wish I knew what each of the different coolers were on these trucks. They seem to have so many behind the grill. I want to add an efan or two to the most efficient spot or spots. Since it gets so hot in TX summer

What, like the radiators? The first, little one is for the transmission. The second, "silver" one is for your AC system. The condenser, and the third one is your radiator.

My supervisor informed me of quad-lock... I looked into them, and made a starter kit purchase a ways back. I'm digging it enough I've placed another order for crackie. I've ordered some of those vibration dampeners for both vehicles. EDIT: I realize those dampeners are listed under the motorcycle section, but after eyeballin' my dash mount system, it all "should" work together.

I'm hoping that the next couple videos I shoot will be an improvement over that bouncy bullshit I've seen in the past.

When you pop the hood, the small rectangular cooler at the front/ to your left is your transmission cooler. Behind that, the part with all the fins you see is the AC condenser. Behind that is the engine radiator.

Not a fan, but not knocking your choice. For me, it looks like the wheels are dirty to me. Maybe it looks better in the sunlight, shop lights don't do wheels a ton of favors.

Just the cap/cover? OEM is around $5 and p/n: 662570C010

There was a lot of chatter about aftermarket over here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/stake-pocket-tie-downs.94890/

They’re a bit darker than I’d like for the white. But when the car goes green it’ll be perfect to me. The ceramic coating also kinda made them a bit darker appearing, but also pop like a mofo in the sun

If donuts and the low-end stock steel wheels on classic cars weren't satin black/gloss black, and black wheel with black tire didn't make it look like you're running a donut, I'd probably be down with it. I think gunmetal, platinum, and black look great on some vehicles. I think it looks terrible with white vehicles. No offense to dudes with white trucks and dark ass wheels, I guess I lack the rods and cones in my eyeball to really "see" how nice it looks.

Clearly, I'm deep, deep in the minority here. If I wasn't, every offroad wheel manufacturer would have a light gold/bright gold offering somewhere in the vein of that Porsche I linked. While I have a fondness for the exact color scheme on that Porsche - white body, gold insert, and silver or a black lip - it's looking like I'll never get there with my truck. Seems that Method's offering is really the only thing remotely close. That makes me really sad, and somewhat disappointed in wheel manufacturers.

Then again, I'm pretty accustomed to the aftermarket industry failing to meet my personal tastes. And they could say my taste is total shit, like SCS has implied on this forum and TacomaWorld a couple of times now, but ... if it's so bad, why the hell was that color scheme so popular for decades? I think their failure to produce something gold that's isn't orange like an egg yolk is part of the problem, eh? And it's not just them, I found two others doing the orangey-gold thing too.
