Grille Interchangeable?

its just as piss poor as the oem light bar output.

 

Top: Low Beam Only
Middle: Low beam and bar
Bottom: High and bar

Do you have one with just the light bar on? Everything else off or does the ECU not allow that?

 

i can get one. The bar is wired independently from the ECU...unlike the Pro, I dont have to have my high beams on for the bar to work. Toyota really screwed the pooch on that one. I get that its not a fog light, but it should be available in Low beam as well.

they dont want people using it on the road with the low beams blinding everyone is my guess.

 

you can still blind people with low beam and the bar. Toyota is just being an overprotective nanny, imo.

 

i get that, thats the first light I've seen thats limited to high beam operation only. Any auxiliary lights Ive seen have been limited to low beam operation, not high. Luckily this is an easy fix, even for the oem bar.

 

that was my point, unless Im mistaken toyota doesn't let you use the bar with low beams, likely because they are not design for on road use with no cut off

I have the same question. I have a TRD Off road grill. So if I install the TRD Pro grill would I need a different bracket for the camera? Or not? Thanks!

I can barely tell that they’re on whenever my headlights are on, so not very bright lol

 

Can you explain why I would need it? Both the TRD Offroad limited and TRD Pro have cameras.

It will likely be off slightly in alignment of the rest of the cameras, and mine is $25 shipped.

 

What was the length of the spacers? Inch and a quarter?

Hello. Has anyone on here ordered a grill or anything from the webiste www.goodmatchup.com? They seem to have the TRD pro grill with lights in stock for a reasonable price but not sure if they are legit or not. Thank you.

 

the very first image when the website opens should have let you known that their stuff isn't genuine, hmm arrival..
those are the same grilles / marker lights and lightbar that can be found all over ebay

 

Yeah, I have no doubt it's not genuine Toyota, most on the internet is not, unless you are buying from a legit Toyota dealership. I'm more wondering if the site is legit? According to this forum, even the China made grills fit just fine and tend to actually be available and affordable.

I am wanting to swap out my SR5 grill for the TRD grill only to find out after calling the dealership I have to have a vin number associated to a TRD to order a TRD grill. Is this true?

 

If the SR5 grill can't be swapped out for the TRD, do you guys have any reco's for installing a light bar in the SR5 grill in the DFW area?

 

No, this is not true. They may not guarantee the fit, and decline a refund or charge a restock fee if it “doesn’t fit” and you wanted to return it, but they should still sell it to you. If they actually do refuse to sell it to you (their loss?) there are dozens and dozens of dealerships online that will!

I got my Heritage grille from Sparks! I just didn’t input a serial number.

Are you looking for the TRD grille or the TRD Pro grille (Heritage)?

They are all interchangeable. The camera mounts can be different if you have the front camera in the grille. Just make sure you order one with or without to suit your needs.

You might need a mount as well as well and you can get one in the marketplace on this site.

 

I found the one I was looking for on eBay actually with the light inserts, is this the Heritage grille? From what I understand this should fit no problem.
