How's the Whipple working out. Any sound clips of the whine, I'm a sucker for SC noise! I am still deciding between the Maggy and Whipple. Besides adding the SC my truck will not be modded and it is my daily driver.

If they are different sizes, I would put the larger on bottom...buy why replace them, aren't they new?

The Five-O’s aren’t actually new injectors right? I was under the impression they’re all used OEMs that were reman/modified to be higher flow. Not sure though.

    They look slightly different.

They are used from eBay, I don't know if they were used when 5-O sold them.

I was under the impression they were new...Five-O's website FAQ says they are new and should come with new viton o-rings, warrantied for 3 years.

Oh ok cool. Not sure why I thought that. I know when I was getting my stuff together for my stage 2, DAP went out of his way to tell me to not to get the Five-O injectors but I don’t know why, I never asked. Maybe he had a bad experience or something.

I don't see any extended cranking via VFTuner.

I don't have an extended crank, but PS did say they sell the fuel pump jumper for this issue, when you upgrade your fuel system. They said it doesn't happen on all years, but if it does I will need the jumper kit.

While this is the ultimate way for lots of HP, it seems to be common knowledge that ring gap (or lack of) is the killer of these engines and keeps you from leaning out the mixture for max HP. Thinking outside of the box, I wonder how much power or reliability could be gained from a simple re-ring? Sounds like I need to win the lottery and find out...

3” ID, not OD I guess lol. You’ve never stretched a 3.6” Harrop intake tube over a 3.9” magnuson intake tube, and it shows.

He's getting the tune checked tomorrow am before they go pick up the new Offroad trailer. Says it's fast just need to sort out the maggy box fitment etc. Won't have time to get the maggy box in as parts are still enroute. After he's back from the trip is when he will get that box in then smaller pulley and the 750cc inj. I'll see if he can get some video footage for us.

In further discussions with pulling cold air for the airbox and not from the fender well we've been brainstorming. Utilizing the maggy box and running a tube to the rear cowl then someway pulling air from the front and adding a valve to close in adverse conditions. Why you ask? Because with our suspension setups we have no liners and need to elevate the box for travel clearance. He's on one to figure this out so I'm sure it'll be interesting either way lol

The puller I got last week was not for our motors, I returned it & got both the right one & the 2.30 pulley to tune in case Sniv's is not ready yet.

Can you enlighten me to what a maggy box is? Is he using the included tuner that comes with the Whipple?

Most of the supercharger kits don’t come with a larger intake box. The magnuson does. So retro fitting that to work with the whipple or harrop is common. No we’re doing a custom tune.

It doesn't come out, no, you shouldn't need to do it. I cut the barbs to drill the hole larger for bigger fittings, but it's not necessary.

Work bonus coming in next week is unexpectedly larger that usual. Looking into full exhaust setup. Asked SW if they could just add the bung for me before shipping. Guessing this would be the best location to have it installed? Gonna call Dirty Deeds next week, looking at an x-pipe before the muffler system that they previously had said would be np to build for me.

Yes, that'd be a great spot...it's a bit tighter on the DS but should work fine...just be sure to throw your more sensitive wideband o2 sensor in front of the OE location...essentially swap OE narrowband behind the wideband for optimal results

Please do share your changes that will “tune it out”. I’m still dealing with intermittent extended crank also.

He definitely did something to make it happen randomly rather than every time after sitting for 20 mins+. I've been paying attention to if the trucks at an incline/decline or level and that doesn't change anything.

Have you tried tweaking any of the parameters I suggested that helped mine by chance? I don’t expect the exact same changes to be the fix for your truck vs mine but I’m curious if it’s the same general issue.

Yes, @snivilous made those exact changes you sent over from your post. It did get better but yesterday I had very extended cranks again so I think it would need some minor changes to those same values for ECT and IAT.

I took a pic of my temps right when it happened yesterday. Damn 50 degree day just like your scenario.

Do you know what the 0.08, 0.55, 2.23, 1.99 mean? Are those units seconds in time? Or multipliers for something?

The units being changed is L/S which I’m assuming is liters per second, alternatively expressed as cubic centimeters per minute. If I had to guess I think it’s purpose is to add or subtract air at startup via the throttle body opening based on the IATs and Engine coolant temp. I think mine was overly rich at startup. I think I remember smelling how rich it was, and blurping the throttle as it cranked added air into the cylinders to evaporate some of the excess fuel and it would start easier.
