Agreed! If I had any of the available superchargers I personally wouldn’t spend thousands switching to another one unless I was going for a fully built engine on 20psi. I don’t have that Midas touch to turn things to gold like @reywcms though. :blahblah:

Well my thought is if I’m pulling this thing apart for a coupler lol I don’t want to continue to fix couplers lol

They all have a coupler of sorts, not sure what it is about the Maggie liking to eat them more. Maybe if you use the PEEK one that is more expensive it will last longer. I’ve seen 2 whipples pop up with bad couplers. No harrops yet but not sure what could be inherently different since it uses same style as the Maggie. It’s probably just a matter of time for Harrops to crop up too I’d guess.

Finished the IC hose routing. Waiting to do the reservoir until the SC is on, hoping the rest of the parts I'm missing come early in the week.

So pops feedback is it’s definitely down a bunch of power. Need to hit the tuner up etc and check it all over. Wouldn’t even keep up with a stock 22. More on this as we sort it out

That’s weird! Does he have gauges to monitor boost and AFRs? Curious what it’s doing. I hope it gets sorted quickly.

Negative no gauges for boost and afr. But the IAT temps are within our 10deg above ambient and the hood actually working with engine temps about 10-15 degrees cooler also

Did he have a small pulley? I bet that's a big part of the loss in power if he did.

Got to drive for about 1/4 of a tank before the fuel line blew again. At least I was just cruising around close to home.

I got the fuel venturi jet pump installed, but had to hold off on the 8AN upgrade, the fittings are too large to fit in the same spots that the 6AN fittings are in, so I will modify the other fuel basket top I have and clean up the wiring while I'm at it.

Radium auto fuel venturi, goes on return line and uses pressure to draw in from the side barb and out the bottom...the eraser-looking thing (duckbill valve) is a special attachment that's supposed to reduce aeration, without it they recommend at least 8" of line on that barb....the basket's already packed with stuff so I chose to go this route.
    upload_2023-3-5_13-59-54.jpg

Here you can see the ptfe tubing I have on the siphon-side that will siphon fuel from the bottom of the tank back into the basket

I think there’s a bypass valve or boost leak after talking with him. More to come has we sort this out.

Damn you think this happened after they tuned it? I would assume, the tuner should be able to at least detect that something ain’t right? I may be wrong though lol

Tune was done and complete. But yea surprised both tuner and shop didn’t notice it was down on power… but also tuner who logs isn’t the tuner since it’s remote tuned. We know it maxed the maf voltage in the upper range but definitely down on power overall

OTT tuning network is the tuner but they have remote peeps and they log and send files back and forth etc while OTT makes the tunes

I was thinking the same thing. And to be maxing the MAF it had to have been flowing a lot if air during tuning. This all sounds very odd. If the bypass was not closing properly, theoretically it could still max out the MAF with flow though right? The air is just leaving the bypass instead of going into the combustion chamber. It could probably even move more air that way actually.

I'd guess that it'd be crazy fat in the fueling if the MAF was measuring all that air but it wasn't making it into the engine, but the fuel was. You'd probably see the result at the tailpipe.

Agreed. There definitely should have been some red flags to the tuner if the issue was present during tuning.

Since I've been documenting all this, it's technically science! Now everyone knows with certainty that an over the counter "fuel line/emission hose" DOES NOT hold up to a 450lph fuel pump. Probably wasn't submersible either
