Wondering if anyone is running full LED headlight assembly upgrades? I’ve got a 2021 trail edition with the single strip led DRL, and the non-led low/ high beams. Feels like I’m using candles Haha. Let me know if anyone has a good recommendation. Thanks!

Can you elaborate which part that is and where to get it/ the wiring harness? I’m new to this. Appreciate it!

The ihacker harness is required to convert halogen light assembly to full LED. It's 100 bucks and can be found on the harness thread he has or a direct message to him.

Oem TRD pro headlight assembly can be bought from any place that sells oem Toyota parts. I am sure a few people on here can advise as to the best place to purchase from. All told the upgrade will run you about 700 with LED fog light upgrade, which is also oem but a direct plug and play swap. You can also sell your halogen assembly too.

Agreed, I went with the TRD pro headlights, fog lights and Ihacker harness... amazing difference.

Morimoto’s are real nice too. I just couldn’t justify the price difference. I picked up my headlights when one Toyota location was having a crazy sale.

Same. I got the pair for right around $460 shipped. Throw in the $100 ihacker harness, and it was a no brainer...

Luckily, my 2018 came with LED headlights.

Question: I also have a thumb wheel on the lower left dash that lowers the headlights in five steps with a servo. Is this LED headlights only or do other models have this? Especially valuable when towing at night.

Some beautiful builds here. Appreciate the tips. Couple questions:

-My truck was recalled and fixed for the wiring harness possibly catching on fire with high beams on. Is this an issue with any upgrades/ the ihacker harness?

-Are there any less expensive solutions that are decent (led bulbs only, 3rd party head light units)?

    Thanks everyone!

No issues with the @iHacker harness and the recall wiring harness. Repaired/fixed or not. I didn't get mine fixed. LEDs don't draw as much current as halogens. You would need to sit in Arizona in July with your high beams and low beams on at the same time for 12 straight hours directly in the sun without moving before you ran into trouble with the un-repaired harness.

$500-600 seems like a lot for headlights. But it's worth it. Dont do just the bulbs, you won't get the performance upgrade that you see with the full housing replacement. You have to spend $200 on some VLEDs or Philips or something before it comes close without having horrible scatter. I did the Philips ultinon bulbs in my 2014, and they were an improvement over the stock halogens (anything is) with minimal glare/scatter. But having put the LED housing replacements in my 2019, the Philips ultinon bulbs only don't/didn't even come close.

it's a pretty close toss up between the LED headlights and 38gal tank as the best thing that Toyota ever did for the Tundra.

I was in the same boat. Wanted the OEM TRD Pro LEDs but didnt want to wait months for them to go back on sale. Morimotos were way too rich for my blood but the amber DRL are very tempting...

I ended up going with Form's equivalent. Near OEM look with sequential amber turn LEDs (switchback). No harness needed, comes with the headlights. Buy from Hotshot Offroad, active here on the forums.

LOL if youre posting LED headlights, no one cares what they look like when they're off. Post some pics of DRLs and lights on!

I too am in the market for LED headlights.. Morimoto’s do seem to have a superior light output compared to OEM but they are also quite a bit more money. I’ll probably still go with OEM at some point.. sparks Toyota seems to have the best price. Will also get in touch with ihacker for a harness..

I wanted to follow up that I threw down for the OEM Pros. Toyota Parts is running a free shipping deal, so I bought direct from a Toyota dealer that had them on sale. I got the set for 598.18 out the door. I have word out to @iHacker for the harness and hopefully I'll hear from him soon. Thank you all for the help!

Big red banner with the code on the top of the page. Here’s the hot trick - scroll to the bottom. Go to the zip code box. Punch in a zip code. You will get a list of dealers. Pick a dealer, enter the part number. You will get a price. Go back, rinse, repeat, until you find the dealer with the best price :). Code is FREESHIP. It caps out at $200 off shipping, so keep an eye on the shipping cost (mine was $180 from the next state over, free with code) and maybe pick a dealer in a state with no sales tax ;) ?

Can come out dramatically cheaper than ordering from Sparkparts with their shipping costs.

    Enjoy!

Thanks so much! Can I ask which dealer you ended up ordering from? I’ve tried a few so far (in OR & MT for no tax) and the prices have been substantially higher than what you paid. Even if I have to pay a few $ shipping over the $200, I’d still come out ahead.
