I don't loctite mine because I loosen them probably once a month to grease the bushings, and then drive around the block a few times to cycle the grease. I'll tighten them after that.

I definitely use the wheels on, tight with an extended box end approach.

I didn't want to do it. But I done broke down and did it. Really didn't want to pay this much, but ... screw it.

Weird part? Weatherthc's own site doesn't show they make rears for our AC trucks. By chance I hit fleaBay and one popped up. The only way to find the 2nd row part is if you hit fleaBay and search for floorliner 2nd row tundra access to find it!! I got the part number there, then went to Summit Racing to get it cheaper.

My OEM rears, the passenger side one has an oil divot in it. If you let anything with oil in it sit on the OEM carpets, they'll sag in that spot. If anyone wants my old black OEM rears, they're otherwise spotless, and yours for the low price of free+ship. I can't remember who I gave the fronts to.

Front fitment on my AC is kinda shitty. I'm thinking, "how can they possibly screw up the rears?"

Even if the fitment isn't great in back, similar to the front, it'll at least look more modern and offer more protection overall.

Weird about the fitment, I feel like mine are about perfect. Maybe it's just what we expect. a little daylight by the right pedal/center console doesn't bother me

Great minds think alike, I went there also until I read the reply just below mine I linked. This one. Heat guns aren't rocket science, if @NomadicFrog couldn't make one work, I'm not going to waste my time.

    Nah. That's the torch.

    @shifty`
Actually, if you're good with mapp gas torch you could shape it like doing plastic bumper repairs.

A good heat gun and some skill should do it.

MAPP torch is one of the things I don't have. Only thing I've got close to it is a butane crack torch (kind you use for creme brulee).

I got rid of most of my metalworking stuff a few years after the kids were born.

Think these are the same fitment for my 2000? Besides the fact that my front WT's are Taliban tan

Not sure. I swear when I looked last night on my phone, I found the rears for 2000-2004 also (or 2000-2003 maybe), but I'm coming up empty online. Lemme check back through my search history on the phone.

The kits they show for the 2004 (only) and the 2005-2006 look pretty significantly different, I must image 2000-2003 is equally so:

    upload_2023-3-2_17-16-34.jpg

The front mats they show for 2000-2003 are pretty radically different shape than their 2005-2006 product.

Super old friend of mine in Tampa pinged me today because there's an audio shop and a wheel shop next to his son's baseball workout spot. He knows I've been working on the Tundra and was jawing with the dude in the shop. Ended up getting a quote for the wrong wheel somehow. Had the guy crunch numbers for shits n giggles. NGL, some sticker shock on the price, but I was happy on the wheel per-unit pricing until I noticed ... it was the wrong model# and color. And not my TPM preference. Method wants like $418/ea for the wheel I'm looking at. How do I always choose the most expensive wheel? WTF.

Still waffling between the Ridge Grapplers, Open Country AT2, and Wildpeak AT3. Meh.

I think a few of those don't have the 3 peak snowflake rating. I know the Wildpeak does. I know you don't get much snow but figured I would call it out. You might want to give these a look.

It's hailing here. Again. Maybe would be snow but 44. Down to 33 overnight so could be more snow.

I'm pretty damn close to pulling the trigger on studded snows for the Tundra but hoping I can ride out the last of this winter and get them in the fall instead. I like non-studded snows on the Tacomas. All I really care is about ice around here, won't be several feet of accumulated snow ever, though I do have a set of chains too.

I just got back from Seattle. Your weather up there is crazy. It was 33 but felt like 15 because it was 100% humidity by the water.

I'd like this if I actually liked it but I don't like it all that much :) Though I dig snow. Wish we had more snow and less rain.
