I don't recall which ones (maybe all) have acoustic glass windshield. The Capstone also has it in the side windows as well. I doubt it will minimize the wind noise completely.

I have some of this and tried, it seems to help but hasn't eliminated all the issues. I'm on my 2nd set of window seals and 4th trip to the dealer. I noticed that they forgot to put 3 of the trim retainers back in as well as the sunshade clip after the last set of seal replacements in the rear which I am not very happy about.

The solution! At least for my issue.

Had dealer replace the front driver side window rubber seal aka runner, and it's dead quiet now! No more whistling on freeway, and wind noise is much quieter now. It feels that even music sounds better now without all this external noise.

Here's the part number for front side driver window rubber runner that was replaced.

My Toyota dealer in San Francisco, Richmond district is awesome! Just text my service advisor and he gets part next day and text me to bring it in. Don't even need to schedule appointments and they're always available within a day or two! (unlike Ram dealer 2-3 weeks out!) Screenshot_20230301_182712_Adobe Acrobat.jpg Great customer service which is a BIG deal for me after fighting with Ram dealer for the past ten years!

Idk if it's new part number for the rubber window runner or not, but it fixed the issue

can you post pics of this actual replacement seal? I want to see how it looks on my truck, does any of your door window rubber seals literally get touched once and then not go back to its place?

I want to say toyota used some kind of imaginary adhesive so it sticks for like one time, then any body who touches it, it just flops down in whatever loosey goosey form and fashion, this is what its like on my 22, I am driving my aunts camry right now which costed like 50% of the tunrda and their window trim you can touch and they dont just start flopping around loosey goosey, its as if they still got their adhesive to them after all

I'll take a photo for you. But I'm not sure if there's anything special about it.

I only had driver side window rubber runner replaced. New one looks fine, pretty straight, nothing really special about it.

As I posted photo above, tape up your seal with tape, and if that helps, then ask your dealer to replace the particular seal. Won't hurt...

Add mine to the list. It's not loud, just annoying. My guess is if you don't have this problem yet, you will. It's not going to take a team of engineers and years of testing to fix it, just a thicker quality seal. My noise goes away when you put your finger in between top rear of the seal. I told my dealer about it but they said they couldn't replicate it. I'm going to wait until a new part number comes out if the one above isn't revised. No use in haggling with the dealership if the issue is just going to return, but at least I have it documented when I had my 5,000 mile checkup.

Can these doors be adjusted any to be tighter? Might be harder to close, but would compress the seals better. This has probably been mentioned before though.

Or they could be someone like me that is currently driving a battered and bruised '07 that has lived a very full life, so the wind noise of the Tundra will pale in comparison to what I drive for 90 minutes every day. If I was coming from an air tight, quiet vehicle, I would likely be more sensitive to different noises. I will instead be coming from a vehicle with 200k+ miles and lots of various rattles, crazy wind noise, & other various oddities.

That’s a possibility. I came from a lifted 1996 Tacoma with 250k+ miles that i had driven since i was 8 to my 2018 Tacoma. The diff howl was more annoying than any noise that my old truck made ha Hopefully wind noise is less annoying though.

I've had the same issues with wind noise, specifically from the drivers side. I've had the moulding replaced once now and it minimized it but it's not gone.

Certainly following here to see what fixes if any others have found.

Tundra is definitely quieter than my previous 2019 4Runner TRD Pro and 2020 Tacoma TRD Pro.
My most recent vehicle was a 2021 Bronco Badlands w/ Sasquatch, and it was way too loud for my liking. The Tundra is a library in comparison.
My weekend toy is a 2007 Porsche Cayman, which is also loud AF.

You have to tape it up to determine what exactly is causing noise in your truck, just like I taped up, see couple of pages earlier in this thread

It looks to me that here are 2 different noise issues.
First, there is just general wind noise, which I have but can live with, and I guess everyone will have that, except maybe the capstone trucks.
Second, there is the whistling noise, which not everyone has. That is very irritating and can be isolated by taping over the window seals, so definitely something wrong with the seal/gasket.

    Yeah right... What a bs!

There was at least one member who was complaining about noise from his capstone.

The gimmicky acoustic windshield doesn't mean anything if all window rubber seals are type same as on all trims. Many of them are bad quality and cause some minor wind noise to whistling

At least one YouTube review mentioned that they didn't notice any difference regarding the acoustic windshield thing.

Not just the windshield, I was told ALL the window glass in the 2022 Capstone has acoustic glass, similar to the Lexus.

Correct, Limited and up has the acoustic glass in windshield and the Capstone has it on the side windows as well.. There is nothing mentioned about the back window.

I have dialed my whistling noise down a bit to the front part of the driver's window. Some have reported it to be the back part against the B pillar, so it is not the same for all.
When I force my fingers in between the rubber seal and the window it reduce the noise. When I tape over that are on the outside the whistling is almost completely gone.

I started by taping the whole seal, which took care of the whistling, and then removing pieces until the whistling is back.
    upload_2023-3-8_13-1-3.jpg

It's actually ridiculous how missformed the seal is and it passed inspection:
    upload_2023-3-8_12-54-23.jpg

Pressing the window outward reduces the whistling:
    upload_2023-3-8_12-55-53.jpg

Taping over this section of the window seal just above the mirror takes care of the whistling (at least in my case. Others have found that it is in other locations)

can you add a strip on the inside in this area , like marine grade material that would compress when the door closes to seal it up?

it may be a while before Toyota solves this as its been going on forever already.

Im cringing if I get mine and it has this, I sure hope not

What I have found is that it is the window seal, not the door seal, i.e. not between the door and cab, but but the seal at the window.
But as mentioned before, there are two noises; general wind noise and whistling noise. The general wind noise, which in my opinion is a minor irritation, might be improved by an additional rubber or foam seal between the door and cab. The best place to stick it would be on the cab since there isn't really room on the door for another seal.
For the whistling noise, which is more irritating than the wind noise, I don't think there is any way to stuff another seal in somewhere. The OEM seal will have to be replaced.

I had exactly same whistling noise. I had it fixed by dealer by replacing the window rubber runner. I documented the fix a few posts up on this page

Can’t believe this issue has been ongoing for so long. Mine is a 23 and the still can’t remedy this issue. My build date is 01/23. You’d figure by new they would have caught it.

Add me to the list, at this time, only passenger side is doing lots of "wind noise" and at this time, no whistling. If my wife is able to hear it, means it is definitely noticeable!

Wonder if installing the AVS Low Profile Visors would take care of this?

100% agree, but is there any fix in the works from Toyota? Seems like it's hit and miss for all members here, they get their parts replaced, fixes the whistling, but does it fix the wind noise?

Almost seems like we need a small canard (similar to what they put on front bumper) but near/on the inside of the mirror to deflect the air from the window.

    Edit: something like this:
