Ya I made the mistake of just grabbing generic fuel line hose at the auto parts store. Plus pretty sure it kinked after dropping into the tank. Lesson learned!

I didn't measure, but it's around 4-4.5", just long enough to put pressure on the pump forcing it to the bottom of the basket. Installation is tougher with these, they don't expand as easily as rubber, so some force is required. I put Vaseline on the inside of the tube at both ends to help the barb slide in, I didn't use heat.

I thought for a hot minute whether I should dig that stock ptfe hose out of storage and clamp it. But i decided I was too lazy lol. But i was also concerned with how I used a razor blade to cut it to remove originally.

the holes go on the sidewall towards the bottom. Probably 1/2" off the base.

So the other issue I'm seeing, and I've given it a few days to be sure, is I don't think the IC Pump is coming on. Cant hear it, don't see coolant moving in res tank, ic is cold after a drive. Anyone have an old IC pump they need to get rid of I could test with?

I know the circuit is good. It's using a two fuse port adapter thing, and I can plug my LED grill emblem into it and it turns on. Both use the same ground also.

They’re pretty loud, it’s very audible when I turn the key to ON. Opening the reservoir with it on also results in a faceful of coolant I’ve been told lol. Are you handy with an electrical meter?

It's definitely audible from inside the cab. You should certainly see the coolant in the tank flowing. My intercooler is always cool to the touch, even on hot days (ambient or cooler). See if you can jumper the pump directly to the battery, if that doesn't work then it's almost certainly the pump (vs. the wiring).

That's what I thought and remembered from the Tacoma pump, and they're the same pump.

I'll have to see what the warranty period is on this ZZP pump

How long have you had it?

Based on the popular Bosch design, the ZZP high output intercooler pump is a direct replacement/upgrade to your existing Bosch pump. It will work in any application the Bosch does and offers improved flow over the Bosch. Uses the same EV1 power connector and comes with a 2 year replacement warranty.

Cool, thanks. I hit them up tomorrow. Bought it like 6 months but just installed.

I also ordered the TRD Magnuson airbix lid air flow inlet. Got the intake tube thanks to @Silver17, and gonna hit up SCOL for the base

Whatever this forum told me to do
    just some useless thoughts:

This new HPtuners tune is quite different from my D3 tune. The transmission acts far better. it's weird...it lowers gears perfectly now. the 1-2 is tight now. stop lights feel like they should - no more squish. I have no idea what Pietz did, but it worked well. The motor runs just as good. no discernible difference that I can tell - other than the effects of the Trans. The meat of my TQ curve is around 3800...and the trans now lets the motor "dig in" before it downshifts. or that's what it appears to do.

Peitz did say (like D3) I was at the end of my HP journey unless I change the intake. y'all know this. but for those who don't...475-ish WHP is about the limit on the stock intake. I was hitting those 5volts on the MAF on my top rpm's. 74-78% duty on the 650's - which is the top end of those as well.

so, far all you newbies getting a S/C.....just get the smaller pulley & larger injectors out the gate. then you will only tune once, and you will be satisfied.
if you desire >475WHP, get a bigger intake.

I hesitate to say this....but...whatever the trans tune did, it helped my MPG. It may be because I drive comparatively slower than most & it appears I stay in TC lock longer. once I get thru with this tank, I'll confirm.

Now you have your baseline on their dyno you can be our Guinea pig and see if you pick up power with a larger intake…maybe an RCF TB. Do it for the community ;). Think how good 500whp sounds.

look here.... If I cold find a filter media that could stand up to the train dust in our warehouse park, I'd jump all over it.

We have a rock yard (those little white stabilizing rocks) that unloads from trains...the falloff gets ground up by the 1200 semis driving thru here and wonderfully scattered over our entire yard....now lather in 9 trains daily, moving in close proximity. It's laughable.

Truth be told....I'm waiting for y'all to come up with an awesome intake media solution & I will be the first to follow you out of the foxhole.

The wife brought the Plaid down here to pick me up to get the truck from Peitz...the whole car was covered in grey muck because it just rained....I had to hear about that for days.
just to brag - I programmed the car to raise the suspension when she got to the entrance gate.

    Life is good.

Just upgrade to a Maggie box and SABM. You can put your preferred wix paper filter in there. It’s the same filter size as any 07-13 tundra takes.

my thought also, would be cool if someone could provide the airflow numbers needed and then S&B had a pre filter that would fit the bill.

That f-250/350 filter is pretty cool, no idea how the airflow from a turbo diesel compares to a s/c gasser.

    ^^^ this my present situation.

I'm breathing thru the stock 3.5" inlet system.

which is why, I guess, I don't hit the same psi & HP #'s that y'all do.

@nobodyintexas ill make this upgrade so easy for you with some more justification . A Maggie box intake will give you better filtration AND more boost/power! Like I said you can use a paper filter like you’re currently using in it. Not only that but the filter for the 07-13 (Maggie box) is a sizable amount larger than the stock 14+ so your filter will have more surface area, so in theory it will not plug up as fast. If I gained 2psi going from the stock box like yours to the Maggie box with the same air filter setup then I’d imagine you will too even with a paper filter. What is the downside? If there is anything else I can convince you to spend your money on, just let me know.

Should try reaching out to S&B and see if they have something that would fit the bill.
