Very good point. I'm not even looking for them to take the total loss, I'm half the equation. I just want it right. I go back and forth.. in this pic, she looks just about level. I don't know if I'm nitpicking or not. I will take measurements tomorrow.

My thinking now is move forward with my SCS wheels and tires and see how the stance looks and then make the call. I dunno.

So took some measurements, and I guess I'm nuts..

    Driver side front = 38 7/8
    Driver side rear = 39.25

    Pass side front = 38 7/8
    Pass side rear = 39.00

So I guess it's level and I'm paranoid! Funny thing is, if you look at the pic of my shock, I'm almost wondering if the spring perches are on the middle setting, even though the guy at counter said top setting.

I only see one perch groove visible below the collar, if it were on the top setting, wouldnt I see 2 groves?

Either way, for now I'm happy and moving onto my wheels and tires.

I thank you each and every one of you!

You bought the tires already? Wheels are 18x9 +25 offset?

I did not buy the tires yet, My tire shop has the Cooper AT3 XLT 275/70R18 in stock. I did buy and have possession of the wheels, they are 18X9 +25 offset, correct. Also have 4 new tpms sensors.

You mentioned that this will be for street use, and you apparently would like an AT tire. And IMO tires that are ~35" (295/70r18, 285/75r18, 325/65r18, 35x12.5r18, 305/70r18) look almost big enough for a Tundra. I have 325/65r18s, with rims the same spec as yours.

The issue is that you need to do a little work to make them fit on the front, but it isn't that bad. I did the BMC but don't think I needed it.

Anyway, I'm going to plug these tires again because they look promising. They are 325/65r18 (fat 35s) and are D load, T speed rated, only 65 lbs... and I bet they get better MPG than any AT of similar size.https://www.tundras.com/threads/discount-tire.120444/#post-3090791

Bilstein 5100's, Morimoto gen 2 XB headlights and fog lights, TRD sway bar and skid plates. Nothing else needed!
I put the 5100's on my truck and the back end sits .25" higher than the front. Something is off with your install- maybe the rear shocks arent at max height? With all 4 shocks set to the same setting you should be just a hair out of level.

Not trying to "hijack" a thread but I am about to get this done on my 2018. They are going to put on 5100's on the front and do nothing to the rear to just make it level. Is this the correct way to go?

There is no height adjustment on the rear shocks, as they are a simple shock absorber on leaf sprung suspension.

The front uses coil-over shocks, so moving the spring perch on the front 5100s changes ride height.

Yes, this is exactly what I did. General consensus is have them set the perches on the middle setting for level, or maybe a slight rake. Be proactive and take measurements first so you know exactly how high you need to raise front end, then look at the lift specs of each perch setting. This is something I didn't do, and just blindly listened to the installation shop.

Someone posted the perch lift specs earlier in this thread. Good luck!

"Front 5100 Series height adjustable front shocks provide 0.87, 1.57 or 2.28 inches of lift." Just based on Bilstein's spec you wouldn't pick the top unless you wanted to risk being nose high. 2.28" is at the extreme high end of normal rake for a stock truck. I think ~2.1" is typical.

Those are not gospel; there's variation depending on many factors... more like a good first guess. Measuring ahead of time is a good idea though, as that will reduce the uncertainty.

BTW, if you are interested in those tires, look at reviews on the MT models as the tread looks the same and tire is probably identical also. Most of the ATs have street tread. https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/goodyear-territory-mt-review-sasquatch-tire.13020/

Absolutely. But it does give you a pretty decent idea of the gain/loss per perch setting. But agreed, there are numerous variables that will affect those numbers. Great starting point as you said.

Ah yes yes, thanks for the reminder. Something has to be off, my truck still has a tiny bit of rake to it after installing the Bilsteins.

RUN with it. Perfect. Looks great in the last picture you posted. Move on to something else. You throw 2 bags of dog food, couple cases of water or a decent day of shopping at Costco in the bed, and it will be exactly level. .25 difference is no difference really.

Yes, I would do the middle position, leave the rear alone and love it.

Just got mine installed today. Not sure what setting they put them at. I just told them I wanted the truck level. Looked level to me when I picked it up. Got it home and measured. Driver side front is 38.75, the other three are 39.00. Even knowing that one is at 38.75 it still looks level to me so I am happy. I think I am going to go with the Method MR312 18x9 which are +18 offset. Not sure what tire I can go with this set up yet. I don't want to do a bunch of trimming. Maybe some minor trimming would be okay.

Hopefully this will help others down the road. After installing Bilstein 5100's on the front to make it level, I went with Toyo Open Country LT285/70R18's on Method MR12 18x9 +18 offset. Wheels stick out 1.5" and look perfect. I had minor rubbing and was able to remedy it without cutting anything. On the back of the wheel well on the driver side I just used a heat gun and reworked, the well liner, passenger side required no rework. On the front of the wheel wells was where most of the rubbing occurred. I removed the lower plastic, drilled a new space for the metal grommet and then back filled the old hole so it would never work its way back into the original hole via vibration. The other smaller screw holes I just drilled new holes. This moved the front of the wheel well liners forward about an inch or so and I get no rubbing at all. This just seemed so much easier, and better looking than cutting anything out because you cannot tell I made any modifications to the wheel wells. Tundra Tires.jpg IMG_9076.jpg
