Are you going to keep the Griptec? If not let me be first in line. :D

No, not after I get these on. Wish they came in a week earlier lol. I don't want to take the nose back off after just getting everything on!

Yup, stinks, I hate doing work 2x. Let me know if you are selling the Griptec, if I have not found one I'll take it!

Intercooler is in. Need to run the hoses that I have to pick up at Autozone. Pretty happy it fit there under the fan, less restriction up top to the radiator, condenser & engine bay& fully open to air!

Looks like I need a third! Radiator drank up 1.5 gallons. Intercooler had the rest and still needs more.

I left the fittings out to squeeze the IC in. Upper was worse, ordered a 22mm ratcheting pivoting wrench to get it in the rest of the way.

How did you end up doing the mounting points down there? Can you take some wider pictures?

Right now it's compressed under the center support, I need to pull the TRD PRO skid plate & add the supports you told me to get in the kit. I'll take pictures when I'm under there tomorrow.

I can't find the relay did you use a generic fuel pump kit or how did you do that? I assume any 3/4" ID right angle radiator hose is fine for the return line?

    Here is one I found

I bought the wiring kit. It's one of the service parts from the screen shot. You'll have to search em but the description it pulles up should say wiring kit

    Hose Kit - Toyota (PTR29-34140-AD)
Is the hose kit all the needed hoses for the IC?

Calling anyone who has swapped out their injectors!

I just swapped in a set of DW 650cc injectors and now I’m experiencing an extended cranking for starting. It started out only on hot starts now cold starts are also doing it. Starting today took 2 full cranking sessions and the last start barely caught on the second attempt!

Has anyone experienced similar or heard of this issue?

It could be an install error, leaking injector, or ? I don’t think it’s anything related with the current tune as it started fine for 2 days before it went south.

Mine did it big time when I went to stage 2. It was worse when the truck was moderately warm (just drove it and then let it sit for 30-40 minutes before starting again) it would barely start, pressing on the throttle a bit helped. Cold start and hot start were fine. It was fixed via tuning, which just that took some trial and error.

That is ever vacuum and intercooler hoses needed plus the shielding for the hoses. I messed up and ordered the new brake vacuum hose separately, but it was also included in the "hose kit"

Can't wait to start the truck tomorrow for tuning after like idk 6 weeks of sitting in the garage. Hooked up the battery charger and did the last mod before starting it up tomorrow for logging!

I updated his tune with the new injector constant and voltage offset.

Do you know what was changed to fix it or could send me the tune that had it fixed? I didn't see anything in his tune that seemed to relate to cranking or starting. Also weird since on my truck I've never experienced any difference in start up after changing injectors. Maybe the TRD base tune already fixed that, but I don't see anywhere it's different from Philips tune.

From what I can tell looking at the comparison log differences from the file I had sent you (start test) ironically named that as it was to address the start issues….vs the files sent prior that were otherwise the same would be the following:

Idle Startup Airflow adder vs. ECT
At the 158 degree engine coolant temp the value in all three rows of that column were increased from 0.08 to .55.

Idle Startup Airflow adder vs. IAT
At the 140 degree intake air temp column the value was reduced from 2.23 to 1.99.

That fixed mine but I guess there is no telling if those exact changes will address @ZPhilip ’s scenario. Maybe it’s related to not just the larger injectors but also the fact that the Harrop uses a higher pressure boost referenced FPR as well.

I searched, Toyota's descriptions & "pictures" suck. I decided it has to be what I need & ordered.

    Thanks!

I had the pleasure of messing with a modified Hellcat Charger. He was blown away by how quick my big old land yacht was. Clearly he freight trained me by the end but he was laughing his ass off when we pulled off the highway. I don’t know the accuracy of this but he said “this isn’t just a stock hellcat you know? This thing makes almost 800 to the wheels” he didnt believe me when i said i make maybe 440-450. Sorry about the potato filming but this was the last of 3 pulls and i just got excited and ripped my phone out quick for evidence.

I have to be honest, my Hellcat doesn't feel as fast as I was expecting. It's a manual, and I thought it would be much faster. I feel like my Tundra gives me a harder hit when I'm making a WOT pull on the highway. I will say, the exhaust sounds better on the Cat.

I feel ya. The owner of my dealer has a 6 speed hellcat challenger and when i drove it i swore to my boss that i think i can beat it in my camaro on motor alone. It just felt very tame to me for what it is. I just figured it was because it was heavy. Maybe because my camaro is just a loud clunky early 2000's shitbox but it just feels rowdy compared to these newer muscle cars.
