Sorry, I didn't mean to ruffle feathers or insult and should have picked a better term than "nuts". But a review of a FB group is like a review of anything else, one person's opinion. And I didn't fit in so I didn't let the back door hit me where the good Lord split me.

Good sir. With @Cpl_Punishment being an admin here, I'd be more upset that he didn't like the post calling out the obvious issue, in the gentlest of ways. I didn't see him say anything, let alone malicious or "driving" in nature.

I have a 2800BH. Everyone knows I'm at or a a few pints over. Do you, but, 37' reflection heavy hotty is going to get flagged with a "bro...really?" card everytime. In the event you didn't notice, everyone told the OP a 36' Mallard was too much. Please come back to our relationship. With love, Flooks.

    Chandler, AZ, not anymore :(
Here is my setup, 2018 Jayco 28 BHBE. I got it dialed in with WDH, sway bar, and Firestone bags, and that's as much as I would go with. Tundra pulls this thing really nice, however, in high wind conditions (15mph and over), this thing is a fucking nightmare to tow.

    2018 Jayco 28BHBE
    Dry Weight 6,515 lbs.
    Payload Capacity 2,735 lbs.
    GVWR 9,250 lbs.
    Hitch Weight 635 lbs.

You can totally eliminate all sway with that trailer by changing your WD setup to either a Hensley or a ProPride WD/sway control hitch. I have a Hensley hitch and my 28BH KZ Sportsman has absolutly no sway. It is like night and day towing, no more white knuckles.

Everyone has different towing experience and different conditions as well. Its pretty flat were I am. And like I said I tow a lot so ive seen and felt a lot in different conditions. Each has there own opinion on things. Some on this site and others think they know it all.

Hensley or a ProPride WD/sway control hitch. Are no joke. Very pricey. What WDH did you replace with this?

I was previously using a Reese Trunnion-style hitch.

I believe the ProPride is pretty heavy. I seem to recall looking at it but didn't want to add even more to my payload which is already slightly over specs.

"The total weight of the ProPride 3P hitch is 195 lbs. This is approximately 75-100 lbs more than most conventional hitches. The hitch bar assembly has 8.5" of travel in either the drop or rise."

For comparison, my Fastway E2 is about 75lbs.

for me safety will always trump weight. I feel safer with my Hensley. I do agree about the weight of the hitch. I am about 200lbs less than my max tongue weight, but it's worth it for the smoothness of towing.

If you can swing that hitch and you're still 200 below payload life is good. Even with my 75 lb e2 and a 22 ft trailer I'm a little over with just my wife and I under 300 lbs total.

I would look at your hitch setup and it might help marginally..... By looking at the weigh ticket, your front and rear axles weigh a combined 8,000 pounds on the truck. GVWR is probably 7,200 for that truck so you are about 800 pounds over payload. I am going to assume that bone stock that truck weighs about 5,800 pounds.

Looks like bigger tires and wheels? 200 lbs.
    Truck Bed Cover 200 lbs.
    WDH 150 lbs.

Add these to 5,800 pounds of the truck and you are at 6,350.

This means you have a hitch weight of 1,650 as you were configured at that time. That seems about right if you were loaded up to 9k pounds as a travel trailer hitch weight is usually around 13-16% if loaded right, with right hitch setup to prevent sway.

However your trailer looked to be relatively empty at the time so looks like you were really tongue heavy at the time.

I am making some assumptions on weight above but I am pretty close. Looks like hitch adjustment or a different hitch would help out. I would imagine that trailer would be a handful with that setup...
