Well hell...with the Maggy on, the Stillen intake tube is to long. And the custom tubing would require a rework of my adapter or some absurd offset couplers...

I gotta figure this out quick like. Anyone got a Maggy intake for sale cheap?

Would a silicone coupler reducer cover the gap? These are up to 6" long!

It's hard to see from that picture, but the intake tube is offset to the rear of the TB. I'd need two offset couplers, one 4.5" to 4.5", and a 4.5"-3.5". The offset reducing couple is proving hard to find

Wow, that's miles off...not sure what your options are, other than modifying that box to change the entry angle.

The intake tube that comes with the Harrop is flexible, wonder if that might would work for you? Temp MAF rube replacement until you find a better solution? Top right in this pic

Maybe. I'm going to think on this till this afternoon. Other option is to order the TRD Intake Tube, if I can verify the Supercharger part number separate from the non s/c TRD intake tube.

You may be able to buy at least the lid off of this guy. He was switching to a non SC lid. https://www.tundras.com/threads/wanted-stock-air-box-lid.120026/

The bottom half of the airbox is the same as any 07-13 tundra which can probably be found cheap and easy. I have the magnuson tube and clamps I could send you.

I would rework your printed part to accommodate parts as they are available. The other option is to use a duct coupler to route your intake through it and seal it off in similar manner like I did.

When I looked at offset coupler reducers they only dropped in 1/2inch increments and the elbows make them hard to trim down to cover shorter lengths.

A flexible coupler pipe like @armyoffoo is suggesting could work to but the largest size I could find was 4 inches. Spectre #9775

PM me your addy and I can ship it out to you at no cost.
NOTE it is not recommend for boost applications.

Will pm you. I'm thinking I could get away with using the magnuson tube and some couplers. I may have to get the stock lower box back out of storage since it looks like it's outlet is more in a straight line with the TB than the still is.

I gotta go do some work work, though. Monday's UGH

Not a whole lot of flex to this one. I have a longer one off of the Supercharger parts store that is more pliable but longer and it is rated for boost applications.

Sounds good. Just be aware the magnuson lid won’t work with the factory 2014+ lower air box. 14+ is a good bit smaller.

I wonder if the boosted rating is in regards to positive pressure, like if used for turbo outlet charge piping. I’d guess it would probably be ok on a SC application where it would be more of a slight vacuum.

Not sure but a good point. The Amazon listing states "Not recommended for turbo-charged and super-charged engines". The product box gives no such warnings and only states its for an intake. What I've found is some couplers list their PSI ratings but most don't.

This particular product is pretty stiff so not a lot of flex to it. I have a flex coupler from the SCer parts store you linked that is rated for SCs but it is longer and more flexible. Personally I don't like the ribbed surface, I think it will generate turbulence but I'm not an ME/Aero guy so what the frack do I know. In a pinch to get the project running I think it will be fine while he figures our a permanent solution.

Looking at the small physical envelop and the tight angles I would work from the TB side into the box to figure out a solution. You can redesign your 3D printed part but you can't change the TB angle or dimensions.

Anyone know about Magnuson serials & build dates? The SC has a 2017 date but the bag the pump & injectors were in have a '21 date.

This is getting ridiculous... here is a Parts/Price list for converting my existing fuel delivery setup (2x6AN pump feeds to Y-block 8AN to engine bay Y-block back to 2x6AN feeds for fuel rails and 2x6AN return to FPR and 6AN return to tank) to a 8AN solution from pumps to FPR.

Some of these fuel mods seems a bit unnecessary unless you’re running a +5 psi pulley and sending it down the drag strip every weekend, or making frequent pulls from 0-120. But that’s just my dumb opinion, and humble income speaking.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    update...

Well…It needs a re-tune. Alex said the present tune is 90% of what he expects.

If I drive like an old man (I do), then this tune is OK. However - I want it ideal.

650 injectors are @74% at WOT. this is good
MAF is smooth. this is good.

    Bad:
    AFR’s don’t drop below 11.4
AFR bumps to 13 @ 4200rpm. Not good.
The cat protections thing is messing with the AFR.

    So…he is fixing all that.

should be done later today....Can't get over to Tomball till Wed.

    Life is still good.

Interesting, mine one the 650s runs up to 86% duty cycle on the same pulley. I’m guessing the difference is yours is tuned to run 11.4, mine is tuned richer than that causing the duty cycle to be higher? I’d say while it’s getting tuned upgrade the intake, but I guess it’s just some minor adjustments if you do so down the line.

@nobodyintexas are you also still using the paper filter in the intake, along with the carbon filter in the lid? That could also account for some reduced airflow and therefore less fueling demands, me thinks.:monocle:

Did he say what psi it was hitting?

Whatever this forum told me to do
He said will put it in the 10's @ WOT....I bet I get to your 86% number.

I've been without the truck for 2 weeks...the AEM boost gauge was faulty from the factory & had to wait on a new one.

I just want the truck back.

and I agree ...If I add a larger intake down the road. it should be easy for Alex to tune that in - now that it will be HPT.

You really miss a s/c Tundra when you have to drive an old GMC with 368k miles on it. (one of our truckers let me borrow it)
