Question.....how much weight would these hold....say if someone wanted to mount a RTT on one?

 

RTT's are a piece of cake.

 

RTTs aren't even 200 lbs. This rack could do double decker RTTs

 

Is there enough gap to open the cover? More pics please.

You can't open the cover though. All access to the bed has to be through the tailgate.

And this fits over a tonnoue cover just like the bars?

 

Yessir!!! I can be installed with tonneau covers.

Obviously it can also be installed with our standard attachment clips if you don't have a cover.

If you have the Tacoma and Tundra deck rail system, it can use that to attach. If you don't have the deck rail, it can install with our No-Drill Clips.

It would be tough.

But it's easy to access the bed through the tailgate. I did it for 6 months, you just have to plan for it.

 

Yeah I know. Just trying to find one that would. Love the squared off design over tubular.

 

Looking good! Any chance you have a full height rack installed with a picture? I have a bakflip cover, so was curious how involved removing the entire rack was for random purposes when I needed to haul taller stuff? I'm aware that's not a quick swap ha, but I need the cover for luggage/family crap as it's the family hauler for trips. Thanks, great looking rack, would have bought one for my Tacoma if I didn't switch to a Tundra.

 

I don't think I have any pics of a tall premium rack. It might be tough to get it to work with your Bakflip. Those things are the bane of my existence. Removal of the rack consists of taking four bolts off.

 

ha, so bakflip no bueno for simply installing your rack with your tonneau adapters? Or you mean I simply won't be able to open it with rack installed? That I understand, and will require removing the rack. Thanks for fast response, glad to find you on the Tundra side of things! Great products as always.

 

If you can get the bracket under the cover, it might work. But you definitely won't be able to open the cover with the rack installed.
