Hello all, I’m new to the forum and introduced myself yesterday in the New Members section. I know there’s a lot of knowledge here a hopefully someone can help me out.
I just bought a new to me 2013 Tundra. I am doing all the fluids and filters this weekend along with spark plugs. That’s where the issue happened that I need help with.
When putting in the front two spark plugs on the passenger side I must have pushed too hard on that heavy gray wiring harness and I pulled the wires out of the exhaust camshaft sensor (the lower sensor beside the coil pack). I found out when I started the engine and got a P0393 code. I ordered a new pigtail and connector but I have no idea what order the three wires go when I splice it in. The wires are yellow, red and black. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!!

Thank you so much for the help on this! It’s the 5.7L engine. There could be a blue tracer wire on the red that my tired old eyes didn’t see. Do the wire positions read #1 one wire is on the left, #2 is middle and #3 is on the right?
I truly appreciate the help on this!
    Thanks!!

It should be D41 shown here. If I’m not mistaken, it should be as you are looking at the connector from the perspective of the sensor, but I’d look at the wire colors in one of the other three connectors to double check. Often the connector body has the socket numbers molded onto it as well, but those can be had to read also.

BTW, where are my manners? Welcome to Tundras.com!

Awesome!! I can’t thank you guys enough for the help on this. Hopefully I’ll be able to return the favor as I gain more knowledge on my Tundra.

Look at the other sensors, chances are +12 and ground are the same color and specific to sensor location, the output wire is a different color. Regardless, you'll see the pattern (order) where they go by looking at the other...

Digikey.com mouser.com mcmaster.com are a couple of places you can look for new crimp connectors. Don't forget to get a good crimp tool too!

There is another place that is automotive based but the name escapes me atm.

Edit! Had to think of my favorite www II plane, the Corsair...

These guys even list manufacturer part numbers once you start drilling into what you need.

Don’t buy pigtails for Toyotas. They sell the connectors and should be able to use your wires/pins in the new connector if you did damage them
