How did you get the pulley off/did you need the press to install it?

6 ton pulley puller is required. My 3 ton puller felt like it was gonna break.

I actually tried the URD Pulley Press tool first, but just like when I did it on the Tacoma, it could only get it installed halfway. I heated up the Tacoma pulley in a toaster oven and that helped enough to get it installed. BUT the Griptec pulley says right on the hub DO NOT HEAT, so that plan was out. The 20 ton press was sooooo much easier and quicker way to do it for sure

They're located in CO Springs. I was tempted to avoid the $20 shipping charge to drive down there just to check things out. But would've been a 3 hr round trip and I like to be lazy!

The seller said there are 7800 miles on my Maggy, it feels solid & looks new. Do I need to mess with it?

Ya, I thought about that too late. Will probably do it when I swap out the Griptec pulley for Sniv's. But with 0 miles on the s/c, figured it could go a little while first. I'm still surprised that this coupler already seems like a solid one, whereas the Tacoma Maggy has a spring loaded coupler.

Probably not at that low miles. But it is a good idea to change it out if you're taking the nose off for a pulley swap. 2 birds 1 stone and all

My motor is strong but has 130k so I'm thinking I'll start at stock, see how it goes & upgrade if I feel the need. Honestly, it already goes really well for a gigantic SUV.

A little merge action, you know just to keep up with traffic. Noticed it’s hitting 7psi by just 2200 rpm now, and 8psi by 3500. https://vimeo.com/800135179

It's kinda small stuff like this that brings out the OCD in me. They couldn't have made the PS signage face opposite directions?!?! Also left out the tabs on the injector side that keep them facing in a certain direction. XAT rails have no branding on them and do come with the tabs on injector side. I may swap out to them later down the line.

New is $2000 without the pump, so I was thinking $1200 since it's been used 2.5 years, about 25K miles. I will include everything included from ProSpeed, the basket top fittings, lines w/y-block, filter (element washable/replaceable), fuel rails, 750cc injectors w/plug adapters, and the fuel pressure regulator. I blew out the lines and wrapped the ends in painters tape to keep them clean. It won't be available until I get the injectors installed and get a follow-up tune though, just FYI.

Seeing as I have a garage full of parts I'm in no rush, I really shouldn't think about this but please let me be first in line. I really am addicted to mods!

I already have the Walbro recommended by snivilous so that's no problem

When I added the secondary pump, I replaced the ProSpeed lines with PTFE lines...2x6AN from top of basket to y-block with 8AN out through 8AN filter to another y-block in the engine bay back to 6AN to feed the rails. With this upgrade, I will replace the engine bay fittings with PTFE 8AN line and fittings and will be modifying my fuel return to include a venturi to help draw more fuel into the basket.

Whatever this forum told me to do
The market for such equipment is very small

    used equipment is even smaller

they will be lucky to get $3500 for that stuff

yes, it’s worth more, but the buyer for that stuff is hard to find

The 4.7 2uz V8 was more known for broken rods with boost. The 5.7 doesn’t seem to have that issue unless you try pushing it much over 600whp. The 5.7 is more likely to have broken cylinder rings if not tuned rich enough due to tight ring gaps. As for what you’re selling I’d be happy to get around 6k for everything which I think is possible only if you’re listing gets some exposure to the right crowd. I’ve seen a lot of complete and lightly used Magnuson kits listed around 5500 that end up selling.

My truck has about 500 miles on it since I installed the PS intake, one thing I noticed is that it bangs around a lot, it sounds like something is falling off your truck when you hit a bump in the road. I found that the metal intake tube bangs against the air filter box. I will add some felt or rubber to take care of the noise.
