Ya, I still have that order in. But current fabricator is being non-responsive, no idea when it'll come in

I noticed at the end, they mention a fuel system upgrade for the 2650 and not for the "2.9L competitor". Wonder if that's what made the difference

I did notice that. Both are running the same amount of boost, I thought lean was mean?
They made it sound as though the added airflow from the 2650 made it that it required additional fueling compared to the “2.9L competitor”. If the AFRs were safe at 14psi with the 2.9L, not sure what more fuel would really do other than adding additional cylinder/piston cooling. Those engines are generally tuned to run leaner than the 3UR.

Very interesting that a "smaller" displacement blower is pushing more air through to necessitate adding another pump to feed the same injectors. The upgrade to the larger engine and larger blower didn't net as much as I thought it would, considering the effort and costs involved.

The difference is efficiency, which is the reason the 2650 makes more power at the same boost level as compared to the 1900 and 2300. More of the energy is directly transferred to airflow without generating additional heat than the other designs.

Next step, figure out what I'm missing, outside the coolant pump, spark plugs & a new belt.

The fuel pump is unopened, that ball of plastic but I have a Walbro 450.

Should I get a new intake gasket?

Can anyone tell if I need anything else please?

Do you have injectors? I would switch that intercooler resi tank to a figs unit. Also did you get the magnuson intake airbox?

Did you have a plan for the tune already? If you’re going to get it custom tuned I would be installing 650cc or larger injectors right off the bat with that 450 pump. Why pay for a tune twice is my thought. Also, depending on what pulley size you go with could determine your plugs. Stock size pulley IKH22s, smaller pulleys IKH24s. After going through the various stages with mine I’d say do everything as optimized as possible right off the bat if you can swing it. Save yourself a lot of time and labor.

I have ViktorG's HP tune currently. I hope he will retune when I get it done. What injectors/pulley should I be getting for reasonable gains?

You're looking good on your kit...question for the brains on the reservoir...why? Did your Maggy tanks leak or...? I'm just curious myself...I , no matter what tool I use or try, cannot open my Maggy reservoir...wondering if it's sealed corroded for some reason to not open...I mean, I know I could open it, but it will break...I'm known for going "Lenny" on things sometimes despite trying to not...ha!

anyone know where I can still get a fit kit for my 2013 5.7 TRD Supercharger?

I have a new in box Toyota OEM TRD supercharger but no fit kit for it.

when I checked with SuperChargersOnline I was told they dont sell the fit kit separate anymore??

    thanks

At a minimum I’d do the Deatshwerks 650s, other guys are using the Prospeed 750s, and the other option is the Five-O 750s but I don’t know of anyone that has them in operation at the moment. @M3Tundra-JK bought them but he’s not running his blower yet. The 2.30” griptec should put it around 9psi at sea level. If you’re at elevation @snivilous has a custom pulley he designed for 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2” pulleys if the machine shop gets around to making them. I’m sure the magnuson users will chime in but those are my thoughts.

Snivilous compiled a lot of this info on the first post of this thread if you want to check that out just to prevent rehashing the same info repeatedly throughout the thread.

It’s true you probably can’t buy a complete fit kit anywhere unless you find someone selling all the parts independently. You should also refer to the first post of the thread as there is part numbers compiled by others for a lot of the fit kit parts.

You can still buy the fit kit from toyota. Search that part number and get it through local dealers or shipped to you. I built my own fit kit since I knew I'd be using different fuel injectors, fuel pump, belt, res tank, intake, intercooler. Save a little bit on the fit kit parts, spent a little more on the upgrades. But at least I'm not having parts left over I'm not using.

    https://parts.toyota.com/p/Toyota__/TRD-Supercharger-Fit-Kit/69529158/PTR290C110.html

The last time I asked S/C Online if they sold it separately, they quoted me like $4500 lol. And sometimes they'll tell you they won't sell those fit kit parts independently, unless you ask for a very specific part.

I’ve seen them leak from a few places. One place is the cap and bottom. So I replaced it immediately before even installing.

So the fit kit from my contact said that they stopped selling separately end of last year. I purchased mine new from John Bond performance. I got a smokin deal on it and it was brand new.

If my moron ever makes pulleys get one of the ones I designed, but that's TBD on delivery date.

Injectors I would get the Five-O 750s. Imo 650 is a small jump and not worth it (only 20% increase over the TRD greens). The Prospeed injectors are janky AF so I do not suggest them, although they do work and are 750s.

I should really just start Snivs Speed Shop lol
