Yup. I'm willing to do a bunch but processing is not something I'm doing.

Not going to lie I'm not sure if it's all going to fit. I wasn't expecting them both to be ready within a week. I may see if some co-workers want to buy some ground beef since I've got 94lbs of it.

Oh geez. Time to get tracing and see where they go, then figure out why the person put 'em in if they're not going to something aftermarket.

I see the wire is made by Stinger, which is a really famous car audio brand. I'm going to guess it goes to the center console, or something related to audio. Aftermarket amp? Head unit? Could be interesting to know which fuse they're on.

Oh, and errant, bullshit wiring on the car is probably why OBDII port isn't working as expected. Maybe they're doing something to backfeed stuff.

Most likely. There's at least an aftermarket headunit that is obvious I haven't taken anything apart yet besides that.

I know the car sat fir 2-3 weeks and UT was dead as a door nail. I put a trickle charger on it, and it fired up the next day. I didn't know about that wiring until today. Something is definitely drawing something all the time.

I just hope it's not too fucked up.

Has a little knock to it when starting up on cold, as if it's not getting oil uptake immediately. Pickup clogged?

What's with that whine that sounds a little higher than a power steering pump?

Sounds like it also has an exhaust leak. (I'm only 3 mins in tho)

Forgot to take pics. Too much clutter. If I weight 20 more pounds, I wouldn't be able to get in and out of the truck easily.

Well, got a dragging stuck brake, time for new calipers I guess.
When I bleed it do I still need to do a full bleed if I just swap the calipers and leave the rear brakes alone, or just go passenger side then drivers side?

If you cap the lines so there is minimal fluid loss while swapping calipers, you should be able to just bleed the front. Ymmv

Ha! it's opposite here. If they see you without a seatbelt, they use it for an excuse to pull you over so they can get a closer look at ya and talk about stuff n things. I worked on a Lil "gub'ment" project at work a little bit each day this week. Last night was the night for it all to come together!

So, you see how these front wheels are bent down slightly?
    20230206_023925.jpg 20230206_023931.jpg

Yeah, I wanted to fix that. I cut some steel. 2×4 square tube. The same stuff I already had on there as a lift kit for my shit box.

    20230206_030304.jpg

I didn't have a way to accurately measure hole to hole on both wheels on each side so I just slotted the holes. Didn't measure them either so they're all different lengths.

The blue lines on that lip above is some shit I needed to remove for the tube steel to fit. Ground right the fuck off...

Final reassembly... the tube steel pulled the tool box back into a some what rectangle instead out a busted football...

    20230209_034629.jpg

Now, I wished I'd made my box taller years ago, but that's okay. I'm going to replace it soon. This toolbox is going to Lil bro. He's got a chance to get into maintenance with pops, and I as an intern just like I got started in maintenance.

Here's the box I was going to replace it with. Husky 36" × 18" 6 drawer. I actually ordered this fucker, and then I found this one. Husky 42" × 18" 8 drawer for about $50 less because it's blue. :) (The red version of the 42 inches is $100 more. WTF?)

I can't wait for that fucker to show up at the store! :woot:

Oh, also I ordered this Vise...

Cool project. I hate discarding anything that can be made new again, but I also hate the time required to renew these. It’s worth it, now that you’ve done it!

Weird, when I followed your link to the blue replacement, I got a notice they’re not available, so I hope they come through for you; getting a deal would be awesome! 1B19F715-F135-4949-A4D8-12A09EEBCEF0.jpg

inside the facility? Santa Ana is OC's capitol. The central court and main jail are there and all OC sheriffs have to spend 2-4 years in the facility before being eligible to hit the streets. They either buckle and find another career, or learn about criminals first hand. Jail is a horrible place. That's just what I heard anyways.

Here’s a good explanation…should tell you how it’s ordered in your manual. Don’t worry, you won’t blow anything up by sticking it in the wrong order.

I noticed you have the Wally World Autel special. I’d borrow someone else’s reader to confirm it’s not the reader that’s incompatible or the OBD2 port is messed up.
