    Greetings y'all,

This thread is for my tent of pain 2 point... Oh. My original tent of pain served me very well, and if you've ever perused quite a few 1st Generation Tundra threads then you're familiar with this image.

The ones you're probably not familiar with are from several different projects. Here's just a few of them in the spoiler below because this thread is about my new, and improved Tent of Pain, but you can't talk about the improved version without talking about the OG. It was a single opening with limited space as you can see from the pics in the spoiler. I had to move the old tent around the V6, shifting it from side to side to have room to work. The pic with the truck door open, you can tell the tent is right against the truck on the otherside. 10×17 IIRC.

My new tent is 12×20, and a dual opening. Here's some pictures from Today. Bare bones.

I love it. So it's not an actual garage but its a damn nice shelter for your rig and you obviously have it set up nice. Looks pretty stout too and able to handle some wind.

I feel like this tent makes a tundra look like my dog every time it’s bath time or when I get my dremel for nail trimming.

Or most people when they go to the dentist

    Either way, that’s awesome

Ah. Now I see what all the D21 chatter was about.

You're a lucky bastard to actually have a space enough with a flat place where your truck can be worked on over a multi-day period. I long for the day.

Lights went up yesterday for when we're just hanging out up in there. Load of rock delivered by the V6 today to help take up low spots under the carpet, and seal up underneath both door flaps.

Pretty awesome. that's more than I have at my place to work on. I'm usually out in the sloped gravel driveway trying to work on stuff without jacking it up at all.

The tent was only $400 at Harbor freight! You can getcha one too! We've got a small section of slope here too that I can use for oil changes without jacking up if I want, but rain water likes to build up there.

Got a link to the tent? I’m curious if it would suffice for my needs of keeping the 95 Tacoma a bit drier in the winter. Got a concrete pad on the farm that nothings on.

Curious the snow load rating and if it’ll hand our winds

I'm planning on putting up one, or two of these so I can jam out, and light up all at the same time.

That vice has been through the ringer. I still need to organize my tools, clean up all the bilstein grime, and then level the tool box. Right now it's sitting on two cinder blocks like a 99 impala that's been out front of a trailer for years.

My first victim is in the tent of pain. A 2000 Subaru Outback, base model. Including the tow dolly rental fee, I'm into this for $756.13 so far.

@NickB_01TRD, below you'll see shots of me disconnecting the rear drive shaft before towing home, and then a shot of me before reconnecting at the house.

    IMG_20221217_102602.jpg
    IMG_20221217_120038.jpg

The Subaru itself has some issues. Intermittent trouble starting which I believe is a fuel problem. Downstream oxygen sensor, the cracked up head unit install. What is with these meth heads man? Anyways...
Pulled the dipstick. No milkshake. Good sign! Head gasket "appears" to be be MLS already, but I don't know for sure. I was pressed for time returning the tow dolly, and getting to work.

Car started on its own, drove onto the tow dolly, and off under its own power. Sounded super schmooov, but also wasn't warm. I don't know the condition of the timing belt, water pump, or any of the fluids in the car.

Thanks Adam! Yeah, building the fleet. The idea was to flip cars for cash flow, but that's on hold for the time being. GF likes the subie way too much to part ways with it. Anyways, I've got a laundry list of "simple" maintenance to do to it. More out than in sometimes...

I learn new things everyday though so always worth it to some degree.

2.5 should already have unequal length headers.

So quick run down of what I know is wrong with the car in order of priority for me.

    1. intermittent starting issues.
    2. Unknown service history. (Timing belt/Water Pump, Fluids, battery, Spark plugs, Plug wires, Ball joints, Brakes, Basic routines, etc.)
    3. Interior cleaning/Refresh.
    4. Rear hatch door panel is busted to shit. Replace.
    5. Driver's door weather strip is hanging down. Unknown if broken clips or torn weather strip. I can fix both for cheap. (Just time.)
    6. There's one speaker that doesn't sound like it's working. Investigate.
    7. Replace fucked up head unit situation.
