    Hey guys,

    2001 Tundra V6 Automatic 4x4 Access cab

As Im changing my front bumper..........the front LOWER valance brackets are shot( not the 2 bumper brackets) These are 4...........small brackets that hold the lower front bumper valance...... to the bottom of front bumper. Toyota parts dealer is not sure about the brackets and wants me to bring them in to match them up. I would rather buy online but cannot seem to find them. If anyone knows a link or exact term for these brackets, please let me know. Thanks

It'll help knowing what year/trim your working with. A past post shows 2001 Tundra V6 Automatic 4x4. Access cab. Is that still the case ?

Suggest adding some of that info to your details page, Vehicle One-Line Description...

Personal Details | Toyota Tundra Forum (tundras.com)

Appears to be what Toyota calls Support Bracket but a search before heading out door can only find it for 03-06

Thanks I forgot to list. And I edited post.

Also that looks like what the brackets are but like you said not for 2001.

    Thanks

@Mhagha Have you considered taking part to dealer and see if they’ll tell your part # or even buy just 1. They’re only +- $20 even on ebay. You’ll then have part # if nothing else and then get rest online

    Yes,
I am bringing the bracket to the dealer when I can to match up the part and see the price.
I am trying to avoid as much extra spending as I can.
    Thanks

    Here's the bumper/bumper stay parts exploded diagram to pull p/n for 01 V6 4wd AC SR-5:

    https://parts.toyota.com/a/Toyota_2...58/FRONT-BUMPER--BUMPER-STAY/841420-5252.html

For some reason it's not showing me the exploded images. But maybe it'll work for you. Click the 'View More Images" button and then the "View Full Size" button after that, and check the three images to track the reference number of the parts you need, then locate the actual part in the reference part list below the pics.

Don't feel like Lone Ranger as that was the result I had earlier this AM and chose not to post it due to no picture.

    Thanks @Shifty

From your link, I was able to pull up the diagram images on a desktop computer. I will attach here. It states 2001 but the diagram is not for a 2001.

    ***ALSO***

I purchased new LEDS for my truck from LASFIT . I was sent a 15% off code TODAY. It EXPIRES 2/12/23 Here is the code if anyone needs it.
    CODE is DSY6-SFNT-USK4
I will post this in a new post as well. I don't know how many times it can be used..

Right - that exploded diagram is the new style bumper, not old. I told you that.

Like I mentioned: If you click "View More Images" at the link I gave, you'll see more exploded diagrams.

Keep clicking the other diagrams available until you see the correct bumper setup.

Yours is the 2nd or 3rd image. I'm still not seeing the images, so I can't look it up myself.

EDIT: Actually I just clicked, images are working for me again. It's the 3rd image. Where's the bracket here?

    Shifty,
Thanks. You are correct. I circled the part. There are 4. Diagram doesn’t show 4, but that’s it. I must of missed this diagram and I guess the dealer did as well. I showed the dealer this diagram and they DO NOT see the part so I am waiting for a call back.

The part you circled, if I'm not mistaken, is maybe just the clip on the end of he bracket you show, it's a clip to offer threading for the screw, similar to what's used with speakers in doors. In this case, it allows the faring to fasten to the bumper. They're called spire clips in the audio world, IIRC, not sure what it's called when that big. I'll look a bit more.

Ok, I'm right and I guess your dealership just doesn't know how to look in the parts system. Looks like it's a direct match to me, but it's your money, so confirm with your eyes BEFORE you confirm with your wallet.

The nut is separate order item, part number 90179-06036 (link)

This looks great. Does the fender side of the bumper get trimmed also? Have any pictures of that area?

I did not modify the body or frame at all, I like the idea of being able to bring it back to bone stock if I want. I am a little concerned about the tire/bumper clearance, it doesn’t rub now but if the tire was turned and the shock compressed enough it might.

Update on the project. I wanted to do something useful to replace the “real” bumper so I had a front hitch fabricated. They also made some slick custom bumper brackets.

Hopefully that 3rd brake light doesn't lend to leaking in the back corners.

And hopefully you went OEM with that tailgate handle, or you'll be buying a new one next year :D The aftermarket plastic ones tend to snap. Make sure you lube up your handles and latches to give it the best shot at life.

@Shifty. I hope not. It has a great seal on it. And yeah. That’s not A OEM handle. But thanks for the tip. Will do

Truck looks good. New wheels with a slightly more proud offset and meatier tires will really push it over the top!

Not dozer, just with the tire flush to the fender trime, or less than an inch or so proud. Something about wheels being inset 1"-2" like stock just doesn't look quite right.

Wheels will be the last thing. I def don’t like stock but will do for now..

What I was trying to say was I get what your saying, but I like the 305/55/20 look
