I just don't understand it. What is this balloon doing that they don't already see with satellites? It's bizarre. Imagine if they loaded it with a biological weapon to spread over the country. :tinfoilhat:

I was delivering for UPS in northern ish Maine yesterday. -52 with wind chill was projected. Fucking sucked. Trucks have barely any heat and the doors and windows aren’t even close to sealed. Thank goodness it’s the weekend!

It’s too bad you guys can’t pick and choose your task like staying inside and sorting packages for the day vs. delivering when the weather is better.

I thought the same thing when I visited my friends in Vegas last month. They are so fucked. I'll keep my humidity and 55" of annual rainfall. Our winters are gloomy and depressing but temperatures are pretty mild.

They’re all moving to NE. Idk if you’ve notice it in Mass but ME is getting flooded with California and southwestern transplants

They will try to fire us for “job abandonment” if we refuse to stay out until all our packages are attempted to be delivered. Whether it’s -60 with inadequate safety in our vehicle, sleet and freezing rain with unsafe road conditions, or 48” of snowfall with white outs

They said it couldn’t see anything that gps sat couldn’t already see, I get that. But what if they were after some other types of data such as what frequencies the base uses for communication? Shoot, even common thieves do that when they steal peoples radio frequencies for their garage door openers.

Interesting that fewer people want to live in New Mexico.

I've heard this same comment about at least 20 different states. I think people from CA are moving just about everywhere.

I mean most of the new cleared lots and houses going up are Californians, Washington, Oregon, Massachusetts plates. Since Covid it’s been insane.

Seems from the map I found, it is migration out of higher bureaucracy states to lower. And I have heard, not sure if true, that if the water situation got worse here, the first thing is to shut down ag which uses a ton. Isn't there a new semiconductor plant being built in Phoenix which will use a lot of water?

Not sure on the Arizona aspect. I do know that the hippies who cry wolf about petro are doing far more damage to resources due to the insane amount of water needed for the cannabis industry

Intel is building a plant in Chandler and TSMC, the largest semiconductor manufacturer in the world, is soon to follow in Phoenix. (Hopefully)

It was cold yesterday, we had to leave the beach and it even started raining on us. I can’t even catch a sunburn. Grrr.

We often go, but it was easier before kids. Traffic has been nuts. Two solid accidents yesterday, right before my eyes. People trying to do dumb things to get out of bumper to bumper, go nowhere traffic. It’s 20 plus minutes to get 2 miles away, watching runners pass you over and over and wishing you were on foot too.

I took the double bob to the beach on the first day, worked just fine, that would be my preference for getting around in town.

Everything here feels extra crowded right now. Maybe experiencing a post Covid return to “normal”.

Yeah I hated driving there when we went like 7 years ago, hahah my cousin is like stop honking, your not going anywhere. But I had to take him to work at like 5am everyday, so it was pretty empty at that time of day, and it was awesome to see the city in the kind of light, pre kids aswell. Hahah every morning we would see this guy on a ebike HAULING!!! It was awesome seeing him gap entire blocks of traffic.

But they've added a ceiling whirly-gig vent to remove all the hot air from the truck - so you should be good.
