The bottom piece underneath the passenger side mirror fell off my 1500 mile Tundra going 75 down the highway. It’s the bottom piece that contains the camera and now it’s exposed with wires that clip into that part for the camera.

It’s also produced a ding on the side of my door from when it fell off and hit the car.

will have to take it in when I get home, but has this happened to anyone (yet)?

This doesn't help you much, but there are a couple other posts somewhere on this forum about this. I believe they are in one of the huge threads discussing various problems. The poster even attached a photo of his half naked side mirror.

Man, that Sux! Problems seem to keep haunting the Gen #3 Tundra. I know not all Gen #3 owners are having problems.

But my Old-Azz 2007 CrewMax Limited 5.7 has simply been awesome and is still like brand new with 52K miles.

52k miles? Does it sit in a glass case?

I WISH! Sits in driveway next to wife's Lexus GX470 and other Rigs in the fleet. Doesn't fit in garage and Harley takes that space.

Same thing just happened to me and after reading through these posts it seems to always be the passenger side mirror. I have a 2022 Tundra Limited Crew Max - I was driving back to Denver on a road trip through Kansas. There was some aggressive crosswinds on I70 going north to south with 40+ MPH gusts and I was traveling west on 4/10. Cruise control was set to 80 and the camera and passenger side mirror panel like shown in the pic above just ripped clean off. I was left with just a loose cable that I ended up zip tying to keep it from being free. Unfortunately I wasn't able to recover the camera and I have a dealer appointment setup for next Tuesday. Has anyone had theirs fixed and what can be expected from the dealer? With the phone call I made today they were talking like it wouldn't be covered in any way but they said they had to look at it. Looking online it seems the whole mirror assembly is a bit more than a grand which would be ridiculous if I end up having to pay. I also noticed that my front camera freezes up in cold weather but turning off/on the truck seems to fix it.

I'm located in Northern Ca and was driving to Bend, OR just yesterday when this occurred. It also happened during high gusts. It looks like your part remained in-tact....mine disconnected from the wire, hit my door, and exploded into a number of pieces once it hit the pavement.

Where were your tundras built at? San Antonio? They have bracket clips but should have one screw in the corner as well.
