What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I have the old kit from my 2013 4.6. I think the silicon sleeve will be too short....the air intake box looks smaller on the 5.7. Any links to parts that you used would be appreciated.

 

I definitely do have the single outlet exhaust...and the TRD S/C...not loud at all out the ass, but up front she inhales loudly!

I agree, a slightly longer silicone hose would make the installation better...the airbox is "solid" feeling, but I could only get the front hold-down bolt in and the back is up in the air about an inch...doesn't bother me though.

 

Replaced the factory antenna with a 6 3/4 flexible antenna. So far it works great & I have no issues at the car wash.

Totally worth it on our blown rigs

 

Added a Kenwood DMX958XR to my tundra. Took my installer about 2.5 hours to install. Lots of features including vehicle information. Of course CarPlay which is wireless. So far so good. Music is better quality and calls are a bit clearer. Maybe new speakers in my future.

 

Then amps. Then subs. Then DSP…

I was going to add the Kenwood dmx1057 then decided to hold off. Deciding if I am going to keep my tundra.

 

Took off the valhalla engine skids and put the oem paper plate on to see if the mpg difference is as much as I suspect.

 

What are you going to do with your Kenwood? Is it a 1057xr?

 

I did not add it with my audio guy because he returned it for me. Another good reason I did not install it because if I decide to keep my truck and not make the move I like having a CD player so it’s either have the bigger screen or able to listen to a lot of CD’s I have.

 

You could rip the CDs to a thumb drive... A lot less bulky.

 

Yeah i agree Steven, But I prefer the sound of digital CD. Even my audio guy who owns the store been with him for a long time. Still has CD player. Nothing sounds better.

Don’t get me wrong my system does sound good with my Apple Music with my iPhone. But it’s nice to have a CD player also.
