Plastidipped my grill insert. 2015 Platinum. See other post about that.

Broke one of the large clips when removing the grill. Found fix on YT.

    Fix broken grill clip:
Cut paper clip to size. Heat it up with lighter. Push in to the plastic a bit and it burns holes then hardens in place. Superglued clip to original location When dry, applied Gorilla Glue Epoxy to make into one unit. Worked great. Don’t plan on taking off the grill again, but holding well.

Yes, it's a good method, the paper clip, along with "plastic welding". Looks good.

Love the overall build! Have the same front bumper now too, and curious which fogs you're running and how you have them wired up?

Took advantage of my day off Monday. With recent consistent temps in the negative here in CO my serpentine tensioner pulley finally gave out at 147k and was making a very unpleasant squeal so I replaced that and the serpentine belt, knuckle buster of a job but she’s purring like a kitten now. Also got my new Trd pro headlights and grill insert put together. Too many plastic clips and tight spaces for my hands in one day. Thank you @iHacker and @RustyShackle323 for the harness and insert. Also picked up some ssm mirror caps and my ‘14 platinum is looking much younger! On to the next mod!

Do you have to request that through your insurance or the other parties? My wife's Highlander got t-boned on Thanksgiving and the other insurance is kinda dragging their feet.

This is why im afraid to change out my HL bulbs ive had for a year now. Tried removing the grill but cant seem to find how to "pop" up or down those clips.
Everyone says "just pull really hard" and the grill will "pop" loose. Dont believe it....

I've removed my grille like 5 times now, no breaks. It's true. Just pull stupid hard straight forward, no tilt. Wear gloves if you can, save your knuckles a little.

I tried to find the place where you can reach in and push down on these large tabs and gave up and pulled real hard and broke it. (I have a 2015, brittle I assume).

For the next tab, I found a way to get my hand in to push down. Came out nicely.

Try to locate the tabs and you can get your arm in there, at least on the 2015 Platinum Crew Cab.

Also, for some posts I have seen that tab is just a guide so no issue pulling out. Mine has a step in it to lock it in place. Not sure what years or models are different.

Just bought these Fuel Maverick for the Spring. Came with tires but will need to replace them when I take the winter set out. Can anyone point me to the lug nuts that I can use for these? I understand the OEMs won’t fit.

As with anything plastic, if you can do it in warm weather or in a warm garage, it's best. Plastic's more brittle in the cold.

I am a sucker for old school Ansen slot mags, and it turns out that American Racing used to produce a 5x150 bolt pattern option which is now discontinued..:(

I put my extremely amateur photoshop skills to work to see what I can't have, and now I want em even worse..:annoyed:

There are two long plastic tabs on the lower surround on each side that have an indentation which holds onto the panel underneath each HL. They hold really well too.

It was warm enough (above freezing) to install my Smart-X remote start. Super easy to install while watching the video they posted on YouTube. Works as advertised and I'm very happy with the result.

I also swapped out door handles from chrome to super white to complete the de-chroming of the platinum
