Climate control tells me this is a Sequoia. I've wanted to try this in my truck for awhile though.

Do any of the ditch light brackets for the first gens need trimming of the cowl?

Yes. I don’t know of any A pillar option for the 1st gen that doesn’t require trimming the cowl; this is why I still haven’t mounted any.

I checked my photos as I’ve had the caps off on a DC. I don’t seem to have those shots, but any leds in there would need to be very small by my recollection. Caps are quite tight to the housings.

Some guys have stuffed BD’s in 3rd Gen Tacoma mirrors. One guy 3D printed something as an aid I believe? Looked awesome. Lots of work though.

I don't recall having to do any trimming to get my Rago ditch light brackets to work.

This is the only picture I have readily available, I'll take more of the backside and cowl today if I remember. They are definitely sturdy. CBI didn't have theirs out yet when I bought these.

Here's one of the reviews, it's possible the earlier trucks are more likely to have issues with the cowl? @Tundra2 had to trim his he said. upload_2022-12-26_6-25-40.jpg

Just slide the hood forward 1/8"?

i thought we had a 1st gen foglights sticky, but i guess not. Ditch light brackets would be a good addition to that thread, that i feel like T2 might have started.

Yeah, I had to trim mine. The thread you're thinking of is not first gen specific, it was just light bar/light pod reviews. Water repellency, longevity, light throwing, etc.

    Here's that thread you're thinking of. https://www.tundras.com/threads/ultimate-lightbar-pod-thread.88038/

It didn't get as much traction as I was expecting on here. Hell, most of the people on here have some sort of aftermarket lighting.

Here's my install post about the ditch light brackets. I did have to trim the cowl.

@Tundra2 did write up about his Rago, I remember that when I was researching. What I didn’t remember is that I milled my CBI, to shift them all the way forward to create cowl clearance.

Give it another 10 years and milling machines will be somewhat affordable for home use.

Ours are doing just fine under the ice. It's thick enough this time for me to stand on it.

I'm going to have a whole bunch of spineless ?nopal? These flower, but dont make prickly pears.

Need some easy dirt. If i put 1/2yd in the bed, how much should i load on an 18ft flatbed car hauler (with tarp)? Maybe 4-5 miles with a couple rowdy hills. 2.5 yds and i take the mufflers off for the last hill and get a vid? One of the giggle results was i can haul about 5 yards if i make 24" walls out of plywood. Bypass the front diffs actuator and run it in 4lo?

Polos pool ice was double thick until today.

Got the plants uncovered, going to open the water back up. Just to shut it off and drain it again tonight.

Apparently not. Same way fish survive cold climates up north where entire lakes freeze over. I see them swimming around under the ice. :notsure:

They survived it freezing over last year too.
