    Do they make a more powerful aftermarket fob? The range in the OEM fob is garbage.

    I picked up a 23 TRD pro yesterday and only got on FOB. Second one is being mailed by Toyota.

    Took delivery of my 2023 Platinum on Nov 11 and received one key fob and 1 physical key to a second key fob. I was told the second key fob would be mailed to me by Toyota. I checked with another dealer and was told that I would receive a recall notification in the mail. Although it won't be a true recall, it will adress the scond key fob. So, I guess we just have to wait and see what happens.

    Same here, only one fob. Got 1794 two days ago.

    When the second fob arrives in the mail does it have to be programmed to the truck? Does that mean a trip to the dealer?

    I purchased my 2023 Tundra November 10, 2022 and it came with one fob plus the key insert and a vague promise of a second fob in the future. So, after 2 and a half months of waiting, I checked with my dealer (no update) and sent a note to Toyota. The following is their response:
    Thank you for contacting Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. and congratulations on your newly purchased 2023 Toyota Tundra!

    We are sorry to learn you were only issued one key fob and we appreciate the opportunity to address your inquiry.

    We apologize, due to unexpected supplier issue, only one Remote Keyless Entry key will be available and delivered at the time of purchase. Owners will receive a letter via first class mail advising you when to return to an authorized dealership to receive your second key. Toyota will be contacting impacted guest in the second quarter of 2023. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your patience with this matter.

    Your comment has been documented at our National Headquarters under reference number XXXX. If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact us.

    Thank you for choosing Toyota for your driving needs.

    If that's the case I may just try to program my coming fob with my XTool scan tool. It supposedly can do this function... but, it remains to be seen if I can figure out how to make it work since I have never had to do this before.

    Traded in 22 Tundra Limited today with 2 FOBs for a 23 Tundra Plat with 1 FOB. Dealer would let me keep one of the old FOBs. Now I wait as little woman not happy, wants her own.

    Spoke with Toyota corporate today about status of 2nd key fob. I was told that theth process is a letter mailed to my home in April that informs me the key fob is waiting for my pick up from my dealer.
    I would suggest if your waiting like me, make sure Toyota has your correct home address and 'preferred' dealer info.

    Same here. Second fobs will probably be available about the same time as the bed steps. IOW, about a half past never.

    Harley Davidson been only [providing 1 fob for a few years now. 2020 FLFBs (Fatboy) only came with one fob.

    Great question. I opened the Toyota app on my phone (Account --> Personal info --> Home Address) and see my address listed in my app. I can't remember if I inputted my address when I downloaded the app originally or not. Anyway, I could not find preferred dealer in the app however I just went online from my laptop to https://www.toyota.com/owners/account/vehicle-management and signed in (create an account if you don't already have one) and under your profile, go to 'manage preferences' and set dealer preference there.

    Totally true. I just picked up my 2023 tundra and when the salesperson gave me the key, he then gave me the news that it only came with one keyfob. He said that toyota will send one to my house, but I contacted toyota and they told me that they will send me an email during summer time. 5 months from now and that I have to call the dealer to order it... so go figured..

    One question I have is whether it's possible to code more than two key fobs to a truck. Anyone know?

    I just picked up my 2023 1794 yesterday. Only one fob and was told it would come. Someday. There was also a window sticker on the drivers side explaining the situation also.

    I'm looking into an after market solution. I ran into a guy last summer whose Jeep fob died while on vacation. He had only one and was very unhappy.

    Just a nefarious question, but has anyone with the key replacement warranty tried to call the dealership and tell them their dog ate their key fob and see what happens? Just a thought.

    His key died. Not a battery issue, he replaced it in an almost brand new Cherokee and it still didn’t work. He was on the phone with customer support and they looked at it over WiFi and realized they couldn’t see the key but they could see the Jeep.

    wow, that really sucked. i dont think i have ever heard of a toyota fob just up and dying. heck my oem 14 4runner fobs are both working to this day (i have not replaced either pair) and i hang them off my belt loop on a carbiner all days.

    This guy had an issue with his Jeep, not a Toyota but the whole issue makes me a little nervous. Things like this never happen in the driveway for me, it's usually a long way from home. I plan on driving mine on the beach, especially to The Point on Hatteras Island. You have to pay attention the tides and the weather there. It's not the place to have a key fob die on you and strand your truck.
