I was told to caulk corners but @Squatting Pigeon probably knows best.

Anywhere tile changes directions or meets another surface should be caulked with something flexible rather than hard grouted.
Scrape out all that cracked grout, and grab a colored caulk at your local flooring/big box store in the same color as the grout.

We just did minor remodels to two bathrooms. Material availability dictated where we bought.
One toilet only available on Amazon. One vanity top Homie D. One vanity top a local plumbing supply store. Tub/shower enclosure wayfair. Vanity faucet another local place. Tub/shower faucet I don't remember. Light fixture lowe's. Mirrors, I don't remember, but both local. We were going to replace the floors with LVP but couldn't get anything we wanted for three months, so the old floors stayed. I think she went to a big box and a local flooring store looking. I didn't mind since they're less than ten years old and I like them.

Bottom line, material selection and receipt took about two months for a five day job. Good luck.

Where to start. Installed the LVP flooring. Setup the laundry area. Painted the cabinets and doors. Installed the vent covers for the AC. Installed some of the door knobs. Cleaned out the garage so we could install the new opener. Discovered the opener is either a little weak sauce for the door, or the springs are getting lazy.

Check the build link in my signature.
yeah - never grout that bottom gap - it should be caulked with a sealant that matches your grout color. Your walls grow/shrink/move and so do your cabinets. That shit needs a flexible filler.

Thanks everyone. That's what I thought too, but the fact that it was originally grouted made me think it was done for a reason. I guess I'll update with *fixed* after the weekend.

We have an old house that had a remodel in the 1990's. Whomever did the opposite of what @Squatting Pigeon says to do. I have the same issues you are having, just have to get off my ass to fix it.

Yep, I'm pretty sure the people that were hired back in the day were "professionals" from our town.

Got tired of dragging my can to the curb and asking our waste company for new wheels or a replacement dumpster, so I pimped my can out... May need some over fenders, but I'll stop there.. lol

It’s pretty typical for tile guys to grout literally everything. The way most of them see it is they don’t have to come back tomorrow to caulk, and it’ll fail after their labor warranty runs out anyway (usually)

Forward looking camera, Stub Antenna, 3M clearshield. A few other non lifted items.
Finished the routing of the conduit, added the 12/2 UF-B wire to the 3/4 conduit and assembled it all before adding the 90 degree sections. I did not have to pull the wire thru all the curve which would have been near impossible by myself. Got the trench buried. I installed a cutoff switch on the shed, as I read it’s required per code now. I have about 30 feet in the garage of the wire to do the final connection to the breaker box. It has to be a GFI breaker or socket connection per code if using UF-B wire. Glad I got it done as it was 24 degrees last night and everything is frozen solid.

All cosmetic so far see my posts in 2nd gen Black out chrome in progress….
Put in a shower floor pan. Less maintenance less likely to leak etc. will last longer. There are nice options out there to compliment whatever you are putting in for tile on the walls.

Shower pans don’t leak if done right. The problem is most of todays tile guys don’t know the proper way of prepping and installing shower pans. You’re not going to beat the look of an all tile or stone shower pan versus one of those premade shower pans.
