WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOUR 3RD GEN TUNDRA TODAY?

Installed a cat shield from Valhalla Shields. Overall, the quality is very good. I got a batch 1 plate which has appears to have some fitment issues with the TRD pro skid plate and the square cutout doesn’t appear to align with anything. The powder coating leaves a bit to be desired. It was missing coverage around some of the bolt holes. It was also scratched during shipping. It’s not a big deal since I went with aluminum but I would consider getting it powder coated locally if you want it done.

Edit: For the wondering, I would buy it again but I would have skipped the powder coating and pentagon bolts. You can only use two of the bolts with TRD pro skid plate.

I got mine in RED...even though my truck is black (so I can find my keys easier!).
The design is a bit utilitarian, but it's makes it easier to spot them.

Cyber Monday got me... I ended up with a pair of aFe front tow hooks in red for $130(should go well with my TRD Pro skid plate). Then I realized that Serra Toyota had free shipping and 15% off, so I got the bed step for $220. Then I remembered to check Taco Tunes for the cat shield, and although I saw nothing for Black Friday, they had another 15% off for Cyber Monday, so I got a cat shield in aluminum with security hardware for $320.

 

Here’s my tow hooks from aFe and in the pic you can see my cat cover from Talons Garage.
Next will be the TRD Skid Plate.

 

Looks good! I scored an insane deal on eBay and got a brand new TRD Skid plate for like $220 or so, shipped. They sold out the same day I found them.

 

I would only tow snails and turtles with those hooks.

 

If/when my truck breaks down one of those days (and requires a "forward" tow/hitch), I will calmly press the SOS button in the overhead console and say "....and what now, jackass?!"

Installed rb20 slimline running boards. Easier for my kids to get on and off

 

Installed Husky floor mats, front/rear, touch screen cover, and Toyota Tonneau cover - next up, step bed and trd skid plate.

 

Just received mine in the mail, also for my lunar rock tundra. They look good! Putting mine on this weekend.

 

Swapped out the shitty Michelin LTX Trail tires for a set of Falken Wildpeak.

Carried close to 800 pounds of pool salt and other supplies in the bed to help out my delivery driver today. Couldn’t even tell there was anything in there!

 

I once had 1700lbs of mulch in the bed this spring.

Same as you that i couldn't even tell is was back there when driving using tow/haul mode, but I could definitely see it was back there with how much it was sagging in the back! Haha

 

I didn’t even need tow/haul! 16 mpg on normal, no sag either. Could definitely tell it would probably sag with anymore

I was considering doing this, but I want to see just how much squat I get with my usual trailers. My only concern is the unknown long term consequences of using these such as premature wear on OEM parts or voiding the warranty. Toyota seems to be doing a lot of denying warranty claims for people who have installed aftermarket lifts and such. Also does this change the range of travel of the existing suspension?

 

Just a little small square of Gorilla double sided tape works great for that.
