So for some reason, my wireless charger has stopped working (hopefully get some time to dissect that this week.) Anyways, long story short, I’ve been plugging in and using wired CarPlay recently and I haven’t had the connection issues. That being said, has anyone ran a Apple lighting cable from the usb connection, under the console, to the center storage console for a cleaner wired look?

I ran a wire into the console for a mini jack so I can listen to an iPod if I get out of signal or if I want to listen to some stuff I can’t get on iTunes.

You should just be able to pull the wire from the low console and plug an extension in and run it under the center console and into the center box and finish it however you’d like. I think they should have put a jack in there anyway!

And remember everything should be moving to USB C soon, so plan accordingly.

What guages are you guys getting and how? I did the Validate PIDs but I don't get trans temp or anything like that. It appears that the only options that I have are the default guages that are in the head unit.

Did you plug in the 2wire jumper for the rr module? I believe it was talked about somewhere in this thread

My 2020 uses the data cable but yes, I tried the 2 wire connector that goes to the OBD plug as well.

Wow. Not a trans temp in sight. Im confused by this as well.

Except one other idea. Are you validating pid’s with the engine running? I know my trans temp will not show up if the engine is off. (May work in key on position but i can’t remember. Definitely does not work with key in ACC position)

I like that idea! I pulled my back panel off the rear console and figured out I have a loose wire that is feeding both my wireless charger and the rear usb I installed. So I’ve gotta fix that soon. I’ll probably give this idea a go when I’m doing that as well. Appreciate the idea!

Now here’s a really dumb question…like I said earlier, I’m now using wired CarPlay because of connection issues with wireless. Let’s say I forget to plug my phone in before the wireless CarPlay connects, how can I switch to wired CarPlay? (Please don’t say plug it in lol.) When I plug the phone in, it doesn’t switch, it just charges it. In order for wired CarPlay to take effect, I have to turn the truck off and turn it back on. I just didn’t know if there’s a way to switch between the 2 or turn off wireless CarPlay.

I hate to say that I don’t know. But, I don’t know. I had them for a while. Then they went away and I couldn’t choose them. Then a couple of weeks ago they came back. I have no clue as to why. There wasnt any kind of software or firmware update.

Mine didn’t show either. I validated PIDs several times and kept hunting and they showed up, but I don’t remember what I did. I followed OGDark Knights advice and they suddenly were there. I’ll go look again.

ok, in Car Features, I select the cog wheel for settings. Then Select Gauges. There is a menu for P1 and P2.

When I am in P1 selection mode, I can select Center Gauge and Top Left gauge, and they display Transmission Fluid Temperature as options.

    Here, in P1:

    Then, selecting Center Gauge:

    Nothing.... yet.
When you say dimmer issue... are you referring to the fact the deck won't dim? Lol

My android auto will auto switch day night pretty quick, even just driving under an overpass. Yet the deck illumination (side buttons etc) just stay really bright.

Is that what your referring to? If so... pls explain your fix

Hey guys, anyone have an issue with the cooling fan going bad on this unit? The other day I had a strange noise coming from behind the dash and it’s causing a vibration on the bezel and the screen, so it’s gotta be the fan, right? I’ve got a video of it but I have no idea how to upload it here.
