I can tell you that there is a separate harness for tow mirrors that apparently requires dash removal. It is surprising to think Toyota has this many harnesses.

Bummer that this was not as easy as replacing the 4wd module and switch. Did you happen to test if the multi terrain monitor is activated with the new module or do you still just have the normal panoramic view monitor? Would also like to figure out where this functionality resides. we're there any changes to your drive modes with the installation of the new 4wd computer? Thank you all for continuing to try to figure this out.

The MTS is working. At list it shows a different screen in the dash board and the option for sand, rock and the rest.
    DAC and Crawl not working.
I stopped by another dealer tonight and they had one with Off Road package.
I can see two wires that are coming out from the main harness right on top of rear passenger wheel. One is going to a small box that looks like a vacuum pump or something like that and the other one is going directly to the differential.
It was pretty dark and could not see that well. Will stop by again, to take a better look. .
I don't mind following if I knew that is only parts that you can buy and install but,, I just don'thave a good feeling about it.

Well, no luck, for now. Been spending all day under the treuck taking harness apart. No plug or pins to continue farther from the main harness above passenger rear wheel to the differential. For now, I am taking my losses and ending with a nice looking control switch. The other way MAYBE, to run a separate harness from the 4 WD computer to differential and locking diff switch. Hopefully someone can make this work someday.

Curious about swapping out the switch in my Limited.
Do any of you that have done this have pictures of how this shows up on the 'standard' dash when you use the Multi-Terrain Select?
And, now that the snow is here, if you have noticed any change in traction/performance in the new modes?

I installed the switch that have the DAC and multi terrain.
I can say that when I put it on deep snow the ECU doesn’t cut the gas as quickly as before. I spin the tires A lot more

Definitely watching this and hoping for future updates, along with a link to the original part. Just took delivery of my ‘23 Limited without any TRD options or locking diff.
Would love the MTS function if it actually works though!

I remember when I bought the ATRAC switch for our 2007 FJ Cruiser that did not come with it. Plugged it in and magically had ATRAC. It did have locker.

Was hoping to find a 2023 Limited with TRD Off Road and all items we wanted but you know how that went. Good work people!

Would anyone who has purchased the MTS switch be interested in parting ways with their non-MTS drive mode selector? I have an SR trim truck that does not come with a drive mode switch. Theres a little storage pocket in its place but I pulled it today and confirmed that it does have a harness that the switch would plug into so I’m interested in plugging one in to see what happens.
