    It's good
Probably is standard movement. My problem (I think) is the slide hammer effect. Want...to...stop..that, lol.

If its a glass pack style resonator its probably just toning down the loudest pops.

is the trd muffler glasspack or chambered?

its a v8. Louder is better.

Is yours that deep? Resonators might be cleaning up the higher frequency's. Mine has resonator tips, but i wouldnt say its as deep a tone as that.

Our stock resonators work to get rid of the drone from a lot of member’s experience over the years both here and on other tundra sites.

Mine is cut with a short downturn welded on, maybe 7 inches. Sounds very good, in my opinion.

@alb1k hi. Fellow 2WD guy here. I think you’ve got it figured, but to comfirm, the 2WD driveshaft is bolted to the flange at the rear, the carrier bearing in the center, and no bolts at the front, so with any front to rear movement of the driveshaft, the front end of it (slip yoke) slides within the transmission tail. Right? Right. So let me throw out a possibility that I haven’t seen mentioned yet; since you’ve changed all that is your rear suspension, could it be that the slip yoke is bottoming out in the transmission, and causing the bump that you’re experiencing? Like , if somehow the rear axle is sitting even 1/2” forward from where it was with everything stock, and it runs out of travel room thru articulation. That would also explain the motor being bumped forward if I’m understanding correctly. Si o no?

Hmmn. A guy who probably knows the answer to this, from experience and observation of numerous other vehicles, would be Keith at Dirty Deeds. He runs long travel on a 2WD and definitely gets enough articulation to have encountered this, if it is a thing.

Edit: I’m not implying that you boys can’t figure this out for your own selves, only suggesting that Keith is a guy with relevant experience, it might save a bit of time figuring it out.

Seems possible. There’s nothing holding the shaft into the transmission at the correct depth, other than where it’s bolted to the rear diff

My bad, i was thinking the 2wds were a 1 piece DS. W/o carrier bearing.

    AECEEADB-6747-42B3-B9F9-01792DF37378.jpg
    Sequoia had 1 piece.

I like it but my motor is slipping to the back. At rest and stop it sits forward (or the lower part of the engine sits forward, then shifts back as the trans mount moves up). The trans mount is moving up maybe 1/2" or so, I don't think that could be enough to bottom it out - but, I need to learn more about it. There may be more I'm not thinking about. Also, my picture was bad, I should have turned the shaft 90 degrees.

Yeah, it sits forward at rest and stop. What I’m saying is its possible that when the motor (and tranny) shift back toward the rear, if the shaft is too far forward, it would bottom out in the tranny and ultimately be what limited the engine shifting back, before the mounts actually stopped it. I’m probably not explaining it well but I may be wrong anyways

Should I be giving out reheated chicken nuggets instead for Halloween?

If I buy them in bulk, it’s cheaper than candy unless they’re candy corns; nobody wants those.

Looking over u bolts in more detail, I can see how the stock setup with nuts low is easier to tighten up with wheels on.
