Got the heritage grill installed. It wasn't as easy as the videos made it look. Or maybe I'm dumb haha. Waiting for the Wescott camera bracket. I'm happy with it but it would look better with a colormatched grill. That's next on the list!

 

Hardwired my RADAR detector by running the wires overhead and using fuse tap by the fusebox passenger side. Also, got the piano black by the shifter wrapped in satin black.

I agree. That console wrap looks sweet. Everytime I wipe the dust off mine I scratch the hell out of it. Imma have to do that for sure.

Got the lift done. Was very happy the sway bar was underneath the skid plate. Whomever had the sway bar over the skid plate definitely had theirs done wrong.

Was interested in doing something like this. How hard is it to remove that part of the center console?

 

not hard. I should have a working prototype here in a couple days.

 

A friend wrapped it. Only assisted in removing the center console so it can be a clean wrapped.

 

This might sound dumb, but I put windshield washer fluid in it. I had no idea I was even low and had barely used it, but somehow it was nearly empty and I put an entire gallon into the washer fluid reservoir and it seemed like it wasn't full.

I had no idea until I got a nice warning on the dash and the big screen too, asking me if I wanted to call the dealer. Uh, no, I think I can swing by Auto Zone and get some washer fluid.

This did lead me to a question, though - I noticed that there are 2 coolant reservoirs. Is there a special type of coolant that I should keep on hand

Got the undercoat(which has a lifetime frame warranty) and tough guard ceramic done today. Picked up my bed step today after two weeks of waiting as well and will install in the morning

Swapped in the TRD air filters. I think the turbos are a little clearer but need some more drive time to verify.

I guess I'm just really cautious about things now. This is the first new vehicle that I've had in years. my previous ride was an 07 FJ that would probably have been happy if I poured nacho cheese in the thing, and the last thing I'd ever want to have happen is a dealer saying "you didn't use the right coolant, no warranty service for you."

I happened to have the pdf open on my phone when I saw your post lol.

You should be able to find Toyota specific coolant no problem. I know Canadian Tire has it on the shelf up here in Canada.

It's good to be cautious in my opinion. Especially with an engine such as the TTV6
