Daughters 13 Tundra

The auto relook function if you don’t open a door has to go. How do you disable this function on a 2013. It was easy on my 16 but can’t find anything about the 13. Thanks in advance for the help

 

It can be turned off with the Techstream. I had a 2013 but I don't recall anything in the manual as far as turning it off.

 

What is the techstream?

Techstream is a software that Toyota used to connect to and diagnose vehicle problems, check engine lights, etc. There is what they call a Techstream Lite version. It's basically a mini version of the software that comes with the cable which runs about $40.00 or so. I don't know what the dealer would charge to turn it off but maybe someone on here close to you has a cable and can help you out.

 

I skimmed that thread but he is wanting to disable the auto lock that is tied to unlocking. If you unlock with the fob and don't open the door within 60 seconds to 2 minutes (depending on the current setting), the doors will automatically lock again to prevent theft.

 

Yea she doesn’t mind when it locks when taking out of park and unlocks when putting it in park. She just doesn’t like the relock when a door is not opened. If she has to lose it all to eliminate that then so be it.

 

I believe they were separate settings between the relock and locking in gear.

 

I know they are on my 16 and I can change that with the radio. Don’t know about the 13
