So by removing the sensors and placing them in that pipe, it somehow tricks the system? He doesn't explain it at all.

 

The sensors are inside and the pipe is air tight. You fill the pipe up with air just like a tire.

This is my wife's car. Having a light warn her a tire might be low isn't the worst idea. I think I'd rather just get it working properly again. The pipe bomb is neat though.

 

The batteries are built into the sensor and need to be replaced. Any tire shop can debead the tire next to the stem, replace and reprogram the new sensors. Denso is oem at ~$39/per and will last another 10+ years.

 

I usually go to Discount Tire. I'll look for Denso replacements to take to them. Thanks for this info!

 

You might want to call Discount and see how much they can get them for. Might save a few bucks.

 

I think EL says he gets them from summit or RA pretty cheap, I’d be concerned DT would put whatever they had in the bin Vs Denso

Finally took the AC out of the windows. Temp got down to 34F last night and I didn’t have the heat on yet.

 

I did the same thing last Wednesday when there was snow in the forecast.

I already had the heat on though, we've got radiant heat and I was tired of my feet being cold.

 

Only 1 tractor running in what will be my weight class, a farmall A, where mine is a super A (just meaning it has hydraulics).

pretty good time had by all. Everyone wanted to pet & talk about polo. No swap meet .

Here in New England you run into all kinds of crazy HVAC systems. The wildest one was this furnace I posted before…

I agree. Some people here have window units but it's usually because of some underlying issue with the house or to supplement additional air in a certain part of the house. Some older houses that had central heat and air added after the house was built will also have window units in certain rooms.

I just read that most new vehicles don’t come with a spare tire. When did that start happening? That’s a bunch of bullshit. Selling brand new cars with a mini compressor and a bottle of slime or fix-a-flat. Saving space for their E-batteries?
The 405 freeway is one of the busiest in so cal. This morning, apparently, somebody lost a box a nails out of their truck, and took out 36 vehicles. All lined up on the shoulder with flat tires, and half of them didn’t have a spare to use.

MOST toyotas still come with them except corolla hatch backs and the prius. but options do exist to have them.

honestly so many people dont even put air in their spare. we're probably safer with people not driving around on them LOL

my mr2 spare is missing. current plan is a venza 17" aluminum space saver to keep weight down.. if i can find drag rated tires i'll get 2 for strip fun...

 

I think the voltage regulator is going out on crackie... I see some on RockAuto, but I don't know what's the "best" or a good replacement.

Get a denso for a sequoia? Change the plug and get a 130a or 150a?

I've always been sketched out by the cable management of the 3 big cables.

I have no problem repin-ing the connector... I this it's just these three big ass wires... do I HAVE to do that?

 

Yea, probably...but you know what they say about big wires...

 

The sequoia alt is only like 25 ish more than the other 100 amp...

 

I wanna run a big inverter so i can have enough power for a coffee maker or electric skillet or something. If you dont need the extra power, then it would be time and money for naught.

It’s a no brainer to me even if you never need extra juice.

The hard part is all the labor to swap the alternator itself.

I haven’t done my big 3 yet. Doesn’t make me sad at all. I’ll get to it someday.

 

Same story with HD starter. I screwed up and got the wimpy one. But I have my OG so I can rebuild it. But to swap it back in, yikes! Probably never going to happen. Cause so much work.

Getting to the alternator doesn’t seem easy but maybe it’s not as bad as the starter? Still, no question to me which one I’d rather have at the price points we are dealing with.

 

No you don't need to upgrade the wires with a bigger alt. Your power requirements haven't changed, realistically if you're not running any high amp draw stuff the wiring upgrade won't do jack.
