    Hello all.

YotaWerx Tuning is located in El Paso, TX and is a partnership of local Toyota enthusiasts who offer tuning/flash services for supported vehicles. We have been offering flash services since June 2020.

Linked below is a map of our YotaWerx Tuning network. Please view to see if there is a YW networked tuner near you:

For those of you with 3rd gen Tacomas who have followed tune development for that vehicle, you may already know of us as the original owners of Coyoza_Tuning, and the developers of the popular Coyoza tune for the 6MT 3rd gen Tacoma, routinely recommended in its time as the preferred tune available for the manual trans 3GT. The Coyoza custom MT tune and the brand was acquired by CVC Tuning and we rebranded under the new name of YotaWerx Tuning.

Feel free to reach out to us with any questions. We can also be reached on Facebook at YotaWerx Tuning and on Instagram at @yotawerxtuning ... or via email at YotaWerxTuning@gmail.com

Thank you for your support and have a great day!

This thread has been re-created now that I am in compliance with established forum guidelines/rules, since this is effectively a B/S/T post.

Tagging @TX210Tundra since he was one of our early tune testers and helped us out with tune development on his Tundra. Other testing was performed on my own Tundra and with other local Tundra owners (El Paso).

I in fact am still running the "Weekend Warrior" tune from YotaWerx ! Compared too the OVT Tune pack tunes this is by far the best of both. I feel the additional power but with a more behaved transmission. OVT gear hunted and it drove me crazy but YW has the latest calibration and slightly tweaked too where it's aggressive enough for daily driving. As someone who ran Bully Dog, OVT, and now YW I can say you can't go wrong with VF Tuner and well organized support like that of Ziggy. DAP is terrible with customer support (I tried) and HPT is a bit more in depth so this hits the spot for a novice like myself. If your going to spend money on a tune do it right from the start so you have room too grow. In my case I'm FBO NA but if I ever scratch the SC itch I won't have too re-invent the wheel

We've hit the big 1k followers on IG and have to thank the community for the incredible support and trust they've given us, and we're especially proud of this after having sold the Coyoza brand and started over completely from scratch in terms of community awareness and client base.

Thank you all, and stay safe!

On another note, VFTuner flash kits have been going quickly, bundled with our tune packs; reach out to secure yours before we run out. Will be ordering another batch of kits for restock soon.

    Thank you!

Last week the YotaWerx Tuning supercharged Tundra got some goodies installed! AFR and boost gauges from Innovate. Looking forward to using those to supplement our datalogging via VFTuner

I have stock 19 with the 5.7 Will your tune stop the gear hunting with the cruise control on the freeway? The constant downshifts to 5 is very annoying! Will it still run fine on 87 octane?

    Yes, to both questions.

Our tune pack offers two sets of shifting as well. One will hold gears very nicely and is really solid for towing too, and our other shift set has a more responsive kickdown so that you can more quickly access the appropriate gear for acceleration/performance.

Power gains on 87? I do a lot of work in Wyoming and Colorado would I still be able to run 85 octane or 86 in west Texas?

We haven't dyno'd our tune but we have no reason to suspect that it would make less power, particularly down low WRT torque, than OVTune for example, or other tune options.

We do have dynographs posted for our tunes for 3GTacoma NA and Supercharged, and 4Runner NA regular and premium fuel.

We're also looking at updating our Tundra tune with some changes that should yield further gains, and we'll absolutely be getting that dyno'd when ready.

Regarding octane, you'd be fine. We have 86 here in El Paso (west Texas) for example

And it's not to say either that we're hiding anything by not currently having a dynograph. It just hasn't been a priority because tundra tuning traditionally does not command the same level of business and attention as Tacoma/4runner.

It's on the list of things to do though.

If anyone wanted to dyno our tune, by all means. :hattip:

The YotaWerx Tuning network continues to grow, both with recent additions and future partnerships nearing finalization. Customers in many more regions will benefit from this more localized availability of support. Reach out today to inquire about Toyota Tuning Solutions for your vehicle.

    https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/e...ICU4wo_Y&ll=25.4990565840439,-97.72491065&z=3

TPS Motorsports in Santa Clara, CA is a networked tuner for YotaWerx Tuning. They kicked off their joining the network last week with multiple Stryker supercharger tunes for the 3GTacoma, giving those drivers new reasons to fall in love with their trucks all over again.

Support soon to come for the following areas:
    - Northern Arkansas
    - Kansas
    - Santa Ana, CA (SoCal)
    - Albuquerque, NM (not too far from us in El Paso but having local support for this area is still a huge benefit to people there)
    - Waco, TX area
    - Baja California

Good morning all. Following the conclusion of our Veteran's Day sale last weekend, we are posting upcoming Black Friday sale details. Please feel free to inquire with any questions, either directly with us or via one of our networked tuners (network map linked below):

    https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?...CU4wo_Y&ll=37.08822147221558,-97.72491065&z=4

    mziggy 04 - BlackFridaySalePricing2022 - 02.jpg

    ----------

We are also nearing completion of a significant update to our Tundra tune packs that we offer. The hope is that this will be completed by the time that our Black Friday sale begins. As always, if you are reading this and are already tuned by us, you are eligible to receive this update for free.

We also would like to get this run on the dyno, for both regular and premium fuel versions, so that will hopefully be getting coordinated. The difficulty just lies in the fact that it is wintertime and so the number of places with ideal weather and elevation conditions (close to sea level, 60-75F) shrinks dramatically). Unfortunately we're based in El Paso at 4k ft so I prefer to not do dynographs around here locally whenever possible due to that.

    Thank you everyone, stay safe.

Not at this time. If you know your ECU ID and have VFTuner, we'd be happy to work on a test tune with you though. We support the GX460 already, so I expect most of the revisions would be drivability focused.

I totally understand. Obviously I would rather have the 5.7L, especially if I’m looking to get more power etc. but I’m stuck with what I’ve got! Haha

I come from the LS world, so im used to a ton more options when it comes to tuning etc. I am not against buying a VF Tuner and figuring something out if you think it would be worthwhile.

My recommendation would be to first provide us with your ECU ID so that we can confirm it is supported in VF before you buy the flash kit and then potentially are sitting with a paperweight.

Most OBD code reader devices can identify ECU info. If you can get that and send it over to us, we'll confirm if the stock tune file is available and supported and then you can decide how to move forward from there.
