Took a couple 2-1/2” angle brackets and trimmed and welded them back together for the SS3 mounts. Ended up almost the same height as the old ones. I almost bought some, they’re $40!! Alao, I used these faucet cartridge washers as spacers between the bumper tube and panels, so small dirt and grit can fall through.

The Amazon fairy delivered this chore for me later. More gear oil is on the way.

I had the day off today, so I was able to catch up on all this bumper stuff. In unrelated truck crap, I was also able to wash these two truck partners.

In case anyone was curious how these turned out. My mom’s a nurse, so the armrest and leg bones are actually anatomically correct. 1E28837F-604D-4955-B094-1153ED78E907.jpg

A little something for the wife. Just some Michaels white pumpkins that I sketched Jack Skellington on and cut them out. Still haven’t really figured out how to mount them for driving, if at all. 6FDBBA46-8C82-4366-A410-DACCF3F80FD6.jpg

Thanks to the “disable tpms” thread, I finally got rid of the damn dummy light. Cut the light blue and tap the yellow. Easy peasy.

You should have just color matched the light to make it your own!

I hate warning lights on the dash, so that must feel great.

I’m on the fence about doing this. I’ve heard that 2018+ is a different system, so maybe that’s a non-starter anyway, but I’m wondering if I’d still get the pressure readings in the dash or if that goes away with the warning light… :monocle:

Oh, that’s a good question. I’ve read that whole thread and haven’t seen anything about that. I’m sure someone will be the guinea pig eventually.

Yowza! I believe that is the correct term for "that is one great picture."

I'm in the middle of a bit of a career change and realized I had been missing my weekly dose of the Blue Ribbon build saga. Caught up today. Really enjoyable to see what someone with creativity and skill can bring to the table...and you brought a table, and a chair!! You're like the commercial with Polamalu and Mahomes, "never not working." My youngest has some of those skills and I sent him the link to check out your ingenuity. Keep it coming, it's much appreciated.

Looking waaay back to raptor lining on the bumper ends. Do the spray cans work or do you use the other which I assume is like an airbrush with the included spray gun?

Geno does the mix, but if you are just doing your bumpers the Rustoleum Turbo bedliner works well. That is what I did, get 1 can for 1 set of bumper ends or get 2 to do all 4. My 2 cents but we know Geno will weigh in

@RobertD got really good results from the spray can, but I didn’t when I did my hood bulge. It’s super rough and needs to be redone. I really prefer the Raptor liner that mixes with hardener and sprays with a compressor.

Having some issues with the truck shifting into 4lo. After some research, I found that the transfer case actuator can malfunction due to a few issues. It can get corroded due to moisture or get misaligned. I’m hoping I can disassemble it and clean it up. I can’t find any aftermarket parts, but the OEM is over $1k at the dealer, or approximately $800 used. Wish me luck.

Yikes on that price tag! You wheel enough you need it, though. Is it a whole assembly, or could you just get a piece, like a solenoid if you need it?

Yeah, I definitely need it. I’m going to take it apart. There’s just a few gears and a motor in there, I may be able to replace just the motor if that’s what’s the issue, but we’ll see.

Fingers crossed for it to be something quick and easy for you. Then you can decide what parts to color match and add bats to. :D
