I know they’re useful, I really like the a la carte style of optioning stuff like that. I honestly think it’s cool that Toyota offers so many factory running boards and even rock sliders. You get to pick your style. I think that’s good marketing

Me and a buddy took apart the console to troubleshoot and develop a better solution for the ineffective qi charger for iPhones. The biggest issue seems to be the fact that the charging area for the qi charger is only 1”x 2” and is probably underpowered to adequate charge a current iPhone.

We have a plan and so far looks like it will work significantly better and will be cost effective.

I would be all over a solution for this. I can’t believe how bad that charger is. I was actually looking forward to having that, as I don’t particularly like vent mount or dash mount chargers. I thought it would be cool to have something that looks like it belongs AND is accessible.

Mai far the design will mount behind the dash and will be completely hidden unless you pull apart the dash, it will look like a regular console. No drilling or cutting.

Man so far I've hated the look of roof racks on the 3rd gens but this looks damn good. Just so hesitant to drill into my roof...

I recently put a bed step on my 2018. By far the most useful mod I have. I still feel like I need to send a gift card to the guy who posted the video of where to cut the existing bumper bracket for OEM step install, vs. taking the bumper cap of and placing a brand new bumper bracket. That video made the whole project a 30 minute install. Like you I think it should be standard item on the Tundra. Its easy enough to take off if you want to go rock climbing.

Hoping that everything is done this week.

I think it a great idea, don’t worry about what people say. The red looks good to me, but your truck do what you like! That’s why it’s your!

I’m not sure if the power step is different, but the manual step is rated for 300lbs. I’ll tell you that I’m a big guy too and my manual step feels rock solid when I use it.

Out with the old in with the new haha.

Surprised how quiet this truck is compared to my 2020.

Wasn’t too sure about the lunar rock at first but now I’m pretty happy with it.

just put a deposit on a smart cap anyone have any experience with them?

Gonna color match the mustache and bumper caps and debadge it this week too :)

I was the same about Lunar Rock. I loved my Cement Taco. I call Lunar Rock “Cemint” because of the greenish hue. But after taking delivery of it, it looks great! Especially with a wrap.

They are Gladiator x comp MT. They ended up being defective after 3 months of dealing with manufacture they finally refunded due to
Out of round. I just mounted Toyo Open country MT. The ride is night and day. I loved the look of these tires but the ride quality was terrible.

Those gladiators are terrible tires they don’t balance for shit and wear in 20k miles. Toyo MTs are great occasionally you’ll find a tire that pulls right so watch out when you rotate
