One observation I've noticed about my HDMI/USB port is that it'll only do one or the other but not simultaneously.

Anyone know if there's a way to input your city instead of use the ones on their list for the weather?

It should be based on the current GPS location once the unit is connected to your wifi.

Got mine all installed with the flush mount method. Overall, pretty happy. Still need to work the gaps on the sides of the HU, but some weather stripping seems to be a solution for now.

If anyone has some tips on how to get the radar to work, I would appreciate the help.

What is the long USB C cord that came with the unit for?

Is it normal that Apple CarPlay will override Sirius xm? For example, today when traveling, CarPlay was acting funky so I switched over to Sirius. I guess CarPlay disconnected at some point because when it reconnected, the unit automatically switched back to CarPlay audio (my Spotify app) and disconnected Sirius.

Also, if I’m listening to Sirius and turn the truck off, when I turn it back on and CarPlay connects, it automatically starts playing that audio source, which means I have to manually switch back to Sirius. It’s super frustrating and annoying. Why can’t it just stay on the source I’m listening to? I listen to Spotify 90% of the time, so normally it’s fine, but when I’m listening to the radio, it’s just annoying to have to manually switch the source back once CarPlay connects.

It sounds like Carplay is set to automatically connect in your settings. Try changing the setting to manual and see what happens.

Cut my OEM cam off, spliced in the aftermarket, realized the new one had horrible resolution and a green contrast issue in the lower right corner, removed it and put back on my OEM camera.

Sounds like a pain. You would think that there would be a plug and play replacement.

It wasn't fun but now I know if I find a quality upgrade, it can be wired in to work.

Well that doesn't help us lol. Out of curiosity, are there any video settings in the radio that would make it any better?

Camera-wise, I was looking at the TV Lines count. Ours is 600. Anything over should be better...in theory.

The radio? I tried them all.

I don’t mind it connecting automatically, it’s that it changes the music source. Oh well, one of those things I’ll have to live with.

Anyone else have trouble updating the firmware using the pioneer app? I’ve tried multiple times. It take several times for me just to establish a connection, then when I do and I try to transfer, all I get is a screen saying “processing.” I had it going in my driveway for 15 minutes this afternoon and it just stayed on the “processing” screen so I gave up.

How did you get trans temp on yours? I tried the OBD plug to see if anything is different and there isn't. Mine is a 2020 so the OBD stuff goes through the data cable so I do t need the OBD connector at all.

Gauges》Select Gauges》pick which position you want it to be in 》here's where it gets weird: you'll click where you want it and then it'll give you a list of choices. You might see Trans temp, you might not. I clicked on the gauge position where it was then clicked on it to appear. When it does, I played around with its position to show up in the place I want it to be. Lol sorry I can't be more specific but that's how I made it happen for me

For trans temp to be in the large center gauge you must click p1, to ensure p2 is showing. Then you will be able to set trans temp as large gauge which translates to showing as the only gauge on Home Screen if gauge options are one of your chosen views.

I don't have the trans temp for some reason. I turned the switch to ignition and validates PIDS.

I'll try that but I'll also write down what is available for each gauge on P1 and P2.
