    Hello,
I just found this forum and have been reviewing the post. Great information everyone!

I'm considering a 3:1 lift on my 2011 Crewmax but have been reading elsewhere that guys are having issues with their rack/pinion leaking after they lift/level their trucks.

Anyone here have a lifted 2011 with or without problems? Feedback greatly appreciated!

My 07 Tundra has the 3/1. Two years ago the dealer did a passenger side CV boot kit replacement according to the service history. I recently swapped out stock coilover to TRD coilovers and noticed that the boot clamp on the same axle had come off and boot was leaking grease. Put a new clamp on. Went 4 wheeling a couple of times since then and still on. Not sure if axle angle is too much with the spacer lift since articulation is changed somewhat. Most sellers of these 3/1 lifts claim that a diff drop isn't necessary. I am having some doubt about this. My rack/pinion appears to be OK.Will definitely switch over to non spacer lift when funds allow. if you can afford it, skip the spacer lift. IMO

I want to add that I am up in the sticks a lot where my suspension is getting a pretty good workout. The problem with the spacer lift is with downward travel. That is limited somewhat and you can possibly (repeat possibly) over extend enough so that the UCA will hit the coil and bind putting a lot of stress on the CV joints. If you don't 4 wheel much and are just looking for the level look then this issue should never present itself.

I am thinking my recent CV boot issue was repair tech related. I could tell that the boot was stretched too far up the axle where it was clamped so when the suspension moved down there was no give at all for the CV boot so it probably popped off the clamp. I repositioned with the axle at level and clamped the re-packed boot to allow it to flex. Probably why it hasn't popped off again. (picking up plasti dip now)

Thanks guys for the information. I believe there are a lot more 2011 Tundras out there with 3:1 lifts not having problems versus those that are having issues. I'm new to the lift world and trying to figure out the differences in spacers, versus replacing shocks etc. If anyone can share a link that provides info about the different lift options I would very much appreciate it.
    Thanks,

I 'm 100% convinced that my spacer lift was not the problem with the CV boot clamp popping off. I have had no more issues ever since repositioning the boot/clamp on the axle. I agree that it's a rare occasion to have binding problems with the spacer lift as long as you know it's limits and where you take it.

Nothing worse than having full droop when going for high lift.

I have a 3/2 level with diff. drop and have had no issues. I do mostly maintained roads but get to go playing once a month. This is my second level kit. Gives a nice look but if I had more money would go with toytec lift. IMO
