Sony AVX 5000. Install wasn’t too bad, about 2.5 hours. Figuring out the bezel from Crutchfield was a pain. The wiring was pretty seamless.

Took it to the dealer for spongey brakes. They just charged us $150 for bleeding the brakes and did not fix the problem. I figured they would at least do a techstream but I don't think they did that. They wanted $120 to check the calipers.
Was there an improvement in sound quality? I just replaced my radio with an ebay android radio and honestly I was kinda floored at the sound quality improvement. Maybe it's in my head?

Honestly I haven’t had time to drive it. I just powered it up, checked functionality, then had to get to work. I’ll drive it a bunch later in the week. I’m not a real audio connoisseur. I mostly did it for the Apple CarPlay.

I have the same unit, the only thing I don’t like is the glare on the screen.

Seems like I've seen a few A/C compressor failures mentioned here...Are you guys running your A/C at least a few times a month. I think you're supposed to do that to keep it lubricated.

I keep my AC on all the time even in winter, it cycles the air through the condensor and removes moisture. Just turn the temp up.

Yes, I installed a Kenwood unit a week ago and sound quality was a dramatic increase. I have JBL audio and sound is so much clearer and louder, higher bass. I'm not audio geek and was satisfied with the Entune JBL but the Kenwood took it to another level that I didn't know I needed.

Rolled 150,000 miles on the 2010 this weekend. To my knowledge, only the serpentine belt has needed to be replaced in 150k miles besides wear and tear items. Also, installed 35x12.5r17 Toyo's on the truck. Toyo's are not my preferred tire choice. However, for a price of $300 for a set of 5 fresh Toyos I could not pass on the deal. I will get some photos this weekend.

It ran constantly in vegas.... and here it runs during the summer and surprising we have to run it a lot in the winter to quash the fogging on the inside of the windows from the humidity. So, yes almost constantly. I think it was probably the clutch assembly that took a crap, but less time and only about $100 more in parts to just do the whole unit.

I generally complain any time I spend money (unless it's on fun stuff), but really I can't complain for having to replace that thing after that many miles and such extreme use.

Had some dumbass in a lifted dodge driving behind me for over 5 miles with his high beams on. Hitting my brakes didn't get him to change, neither did angling my side mirrors to shine back at him. So, I ordered a 40" single row light bar which I will be mounting on the bottom side of the back roof rack/platform.
Will pick it up and install it next week.

He may not have had his high beams on!!! Just aimed wrong with his lift and he just doesn't care.
Blinding him may not be in your best interest these days.

Today I swapped in new shock mount bushings and I investigated my shackle bushings. I’ll be buying poly bushings for my lift shackles.

I met the front of a Nissan Frontier. Anybody have a 2007-2013 Tundra 6.5 foot bed for sale? I would prefer one in Silver Sky Metallic.

Washed, clayed using speedy towel, polished slightly (not to perfection) and turtle wax hybrid ceramic waxed it. Then it rained on me when the forecast said it wasn't going to! So next day I washed it again and applied a new coat, waited almost 24 hours to apply another coat. Need to clean up the wheels next.

Update on these. They have shrunk and warped in the sun. They are also cracking in the corners. Barely made it a year. They claim a lifetime warranty so I’m going to try and get replacements, but will be spending the money on actual Toyota OEM soon as those originals lasted almost 13 years

I'm really happy with the results. Steering feels tighter and more responsive as you might expect. My steering wheel was getting jostled by every bump in the road. That effect seems to be mostly gone and the steering feels more isolated from the road surface imperfections.

The driving reason for doing this, for me, was that my truck has become so sensitive to any tire imbalance, even slight inbalances would cause the wheel to shake. I'm hopeful that this corrects that issue. Only way to test would be to strip off some wheel weights.:p

The wheel is still centered which makes me believe I got the splines on the steering shaft back to their original clocking. That was my one worry. I was also careful to make sure I didn't let the wheel spin at all when disconnected for the sake of my clockspring. I used OBD fusion to make sure my steering angle was not 360° off zero. Turns out, dead center reads as 20° or so on the steering angle?
