Just finished installing a light bar in the hood bulge. My OCD is killing me, there’s a noticeable gap in the top corners now. Anyone know how to fix it? I’ve tried using a different longer fastener but it still doesn’t close the gap.

FWIW, during the mod I didn’t break any tabs. I only cut the 3 support bars inside the hood and was still able to keep all 5 holes for the bulge fasteners to go into. I’ve even tried playing around with how tight/loose I should clamp down on the bulge while reinstalling the 3 10mm bolts back on. I’m stumped…

(I know my truck is dirty. For once it actually rained here in Vegas)

Is there a chance it was like that before you pulled it off?
    You might need new clips..

@Tundra234 do you have any input?

I've heard those clamps are one and done. Once you pop the bulge off it's best to replace the clips.

I was thinking that the ends of the light bar were touching the bulge but it looks like his light bar is shorter. @mav7021234 is it touching anywhere at all?.....might be hard to see with the screen in place.

Gotcha. Mine sticks up a tad in the corners when it's hot out. I have OCD as well lol.
